The first show I see was about 2.5 hours long.

The second had at least half hour cut out of the bits I noticed. Don’t remember all of first one as was a bit drunk and nipped to bar and toilet couple of times. didn’t mind missing bits because I was intending to watch it all again the next time from a much better position .

It may seem petty but I paid near double the price for the second show at over £500 each and was expecting to see all that I see on the first plus bits missed or not taken in from a premium priced seat. And after bigging it up to friend who found it mostly boring as most of what was happening was the artist talking I think there should be some form of compensation.

Why should anyone pay the same price as those who had the full experience only to be given a half arsed one instead!? Not to mention paying twice as much for it!
    Very telling...

This is surely a wind-up, right?

Who is this "artist" that's ripped you off for something like £1500? Madonna's on tour at the moment. Was it her, by any chance?
  • Why must there be compensation? What was guaranteed when you bought the tickets?

As for the principle, I'd suggest that spending over £1000 that you can't easily afford on two concert tickets isn't a sound principle to begin with. That's an obscene amount of money for a gig, no matter what your personal financial situation. The artist in question clearly has no principles, so why do you expect them to kick in when you feel wronged?[/QUOTE
I paid it because I’ve seen the artist all through their career and this is most probably the last one they will do. I’m not on about whether I can afford it or not which is none of yr business or anything to do with my question!

As for going on about principles being irrelevant so is yr point! This post is about whether I can make the organisers and artist take responsibility and be penalised for not giving their fans an equal experience one being very below par!

You need to get off your high horse. Your attitude doesn’t come across well and nothing you said was at all relative just pompous!

Maybe being drunk made the first show seem better than it was....

You won't get a refund for not liking a show.

No I know what songs and parts were missing. There was a set list and I wasn’t so drunk I made parts up in my head that were missing on the next one!

What’s very telling? Other than your judgemental snobbery?

Artists can and do change set lists. You are not paying for a particular set list.
  • Getting a bit confused here. I’m asking a question about a consumer rights issue and the majority of replies are on about myself?

Seems the majority here need to log on to mumsnet and have a moan. The snobbery on here is actually unbelievable!

Not asking for yr stuck up views about myself or my principles!
I am asking if this is something that can be taken further with live nation!

But not to this extent. One or two songs maybe. But not just the songs the whole show was off much poorer quality.

To me this should be in some way reprimanded

I thought the consensus was clear. Nothing you have said would entitle you to a refund.

If 2 people go for a meal order same food ones is perfect the others cold and raw would you just suck it up?

Everything nowadays has some form of liability to their customers if service or quality is below par so why should a show or concert be above this?
