Great thanks, that’s all the information I was looking for - as to whether they pay 100% of the time.

I think we all agree about "idiots"
At least your defence has been done and do highlight the BWLegal ABUSE OF PROCESS

Very good point, is it ok to reference a different parking charge of mine in this new defence? It’s been an absolute abuse of process.

Well, I’ve now received another letter from the court stating this will be reinstated and it shall proceed even after they failed to pay the fee. How can this be?

Have you asked the court? Maybe the claimant did pay the fee and the court made an error, but that's only a guess.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

Turns out there was a back log of some kind so the fee had been paid but they thought it hadn't, brilliant!

Tell them that you are self isolating and in a high risk category
