You have RCA connectors I already told you what was needed earlier on in the thread one of these:-

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/GANA-Composite-Converter-Supporting-black-02/dp/B01N5KNFD1?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1
I think that having bought one of these it is the wrong way round.    Under the picture of the converter there is a green tick showing for HDMI to RCA but a red X  showing for RCA to HDMI and looking at Amazon there are both listed RCA TO HDMI and HDMI to RCA so I think that this one is the wrong one.   Not a problem as I will just return it as being incompatible.

The system does not have an optical option...........................Only RCA.
See THIS VIDEO..It may give some idea....
My suggestion is still to buy a soundbar or a more modern 5.1.

  • That seems a very simple cheap solution if it works as the lead is only £1.85 on ebay.    So have ordered a return  of the converter for a refund.

Yeah, and only AFTER you posted the video, did OP finally confirm that's device we're working with. Ah well, got there in the end.

A cheapo system, recoreded on a cheapo video recorder! You have 2 stereo phono inputs - DVD and Aux. You can plug the TV's sound to one of these.  Very much not ideal, but can do the job.
My first stab would be phono out, TV doesn't have that. Second would be use the headphone socket, TV doesn't have that either. So third option is to use the SPDIF out of the TV, to the Phono of the subwoofer.
The device linked to for the OP is an HDMI to composite (phono) converter. It converts video as well as sound, and the TV doesn't have HDMI OUT. You're relying on this working with ARC, which it may not.
I would recommend that OP buys an SPDIF to Phono converter.
    Like this:
It comes with an optical cable so they will need to add a phono cable. They may already have one but if not this is what they need.
