 Hey lovelies!
A respectable £13.50 for me so far on day seven but I have a mahusive  order from Mr Tesco in the works ( First delivery is tomorrow.) so I won't be virtuous for long!
I have bought a few (quite a few actually) treats but on special offer whenever possible and I've split the orders up so that I can use a few money off codes instead of just one plus a free delivery code on one of them.
We can but try huh?

As for the complaints about DHs I won't even start. Mine has developed a weetabix obsession and we're nearly out again ....[/quote]
I would keep the box and refill it with an own brand/value range! He probably won't even notice!!!!0 -
Yes I try that. And I try saying I'm going shopping today - anything you need? No.
He says I should look when I make my list - apparently in every cupboard in kitchen, bathroom and memorise the contents of the fridge, as well as predict when he will want extra cereal and use up all the week's milk in two days
Spen this month is coming along according to plan so far, but the last two weeks of the month could be a problem and will require some serious concentration.0 -
So far this month for me ... £13.70. But I am just about to go to Lidl's for some stuff. I have a pal visiting this weekend, going to try and be resourceful... and think outside the box !!
Will update later how I get on at Lidl.... as got to pick her up from the airport now too.
Oh... and have spent £42 on fuel    . Different budget though... but still very scary.0 -

Sadly...they come wrapped in weetabix organic stamped paper so no chance.
On the bright side he is eating this instead of other things so I suppose it's MS in its own way
And Mike would you believe I puzzled over what a DW was for ages before it dawned on mesorry you're so outnumbered.

Well mr T has been to deliver our 2nd weeks shopping and it came to 71.21 and that was with over 10 pounds off in promos and 9pound voucher but we have enough meals to last the rest of the month and should only need to buy milk and fresh fruit etc now. Gotta eat all the stuff that can go off first then get started on the freezer food. We have tons of tuna since its buy one get one free so gonna be having plenty of tuna pasta bakes and tuna sandwiches this month!0

Well I had my Tesco order delivered today, and due to substitutions it cost more than I anticipated *sigh*. However, I got a pack of 6 cartons of orange juice, rather than a pack of 4, so it will last longer.
I also forgot to use any money saving codes - but will remember next time.
One good thing is that the cat seems to like own brand cat food and biscuits!Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Had to do a pretty big shop (for me) on the first of the month, and DS came along to help, he doesnt normally put stuff in the trolly but there were rather a lot of things in there i dont remember picking up when we got to the checkout
Still, it came to 80.08 but that included almost £20 on christmas gift ingredients and cold cure tablets ready for the next bug that gets me (I panic if i dont have some in .. cant function without them  )
That would have reduced it to 60.87 but as i dont have another budget for these things they must be included!!! shame
I'm analysing all the receipts so i can see where the money goes, i didnt realise milk and bread were so much!!! Its certainly an education.0 -
Managed to go over my weekly budget by £16.84! was doing really well all week as I did my food shop in Sainsburys where I work last Saturday. I also did a quick top up in the Co, but stupidly went to Mr. T today and ended up spending £26!!!!The stuff on my list should have only come to about £10 and then I would have been in budget, aaaggghhh!
Never mind, onwards and upwards, I'm sure it'll even out over the next 3 weeks. Hope everyone is doing O.K with theirs!:pSept. grocery challenge = £500 (221.60 so far!;))0 -
