  • Welcome sweetpea.

Like Lil'me I don't think I could bring myself to order groceries online without using a code. There's a great £12 off £80 spend at the moment which I'm getting delivered on 12th december. Pays the delivery charge and leaves a nice £8 over. I did have to order some stuff for into January to make it up tho. Lil me I haven't ever managed to work out how to add in a code to an existing order, if you manage it would love to hear how :)

Also for info you put the code in at the checkout stage when you're ordering - it's on the same page as where you put in your credit or debit card details. If one doesn't work keep trying, you'll eventually find one that does.

Good idea lil me to put your post on the top of the thread as well btw.

And good luck Brassic as well :)
  • Thank you very much belfastgirl :) That code would be brilliant to do my christmas shop with :j I am a happy bunny today lol, thank you all for being so helpful.
  • XX-TCVL is the code just in case you cant find it :)

Well, I'm in yet again.....my month runs from 28/11/07 - 26/12/07 and is £400. Hopefully to cover all xmas stuff, food, cleaning products, nappies etc for 2 adults & 3 children. I haven't managed to come in under budget yet this year :o and did even debate whether to join this month...but decided to give it one last try!!!

Am withdrawing £100 cash each week & using that rather than sticking it on my switch card.

So far, week 1's spends are £88.44 (including my contact lens solutions!) Will need to get a loaf of bread, but should be under budget this week anyway:T

Managed £29.05 this week, but have also crossed some stuff off my list for the week before christmas, so I'm quite pleased.

Spent another €19.68 today in the asian supermarket...I needed palm sugar, noodles, sesame oil and oyster sauce, also bought some dumplings which were really a luxury that I didn't need but will not be back there until I run out of rice.

Spent a total of £52.14 today.(i have a £5 voucher for tesco will it be considered as cheating if i use this added onto my budget for bits and pieces on sat?)
  • Well 2nd half of my tesco main shop for the month came thorough last night. Spent £105.20 but had to send some bits back as the substitutes were not suitable.

Think i am doing quite well have a few luxury items more than enough essentials items and though i have lowered my budget for this month i have managed to buy in normal meats etc that will be used for January and not December with will help too.
    Still Trying :o

Why is it that the day after I've been shopping OH says he's running really low of something so I have to go again??

Last week was washing powder (OH does most of the washing ;)), this week it's cereal. Means another trip to supermarket and always means spending more than I planned :o

    morning all

just added another 2.22euros to my total so far -making 6.70euros... if it wasn't for pesky boxes of clementines i would be ok :p 3 kilo of clementines for roughly £1.70 is a bargain.. if only i could leave them alone...says she sat typing 1 handed whilst holding a clementine in the other hand :rotfl: .... this is my 2nd box in the last 4 days..and there's only me eating them :o ....

still we are back off to the UK on the 17th so food is still HM stuff coming out of the freezer :T ... and my stock piling is planned ready to save us loads in 2008 :j
hope everyone is having a lovely time in the build up to christmas :D
