The US was one I won't view. On at £295k, wrong area, needs a lot of work.
The one today though, they are bugg4hing off to Frogland for their retirement, so no chain. On at £280k.
But, in all honesty.... £280 is actually "fair" really. One could muck about a bit ... and I will start a bit under, but if it goes to that, then that's what it does. But not a penny more.
Plus, if they are moving to France, could you get things like fridge, freezer, washing machine thrown in?(I just lurve spiders!)

I managed to accidentally switch on notifications for this thread so I've had about 20 emails just this morning. I've had to quite quickly learn to switch them off again! I think it's the little bookmark tag when you're on a desktop as it was blue but now it isn't. I'll find out soon enough! No idea how I did it from my phone. It's a handy little feature if you've started a thread.
Good luck, PN. It does look like a lot of house for the money.
We accepted an offer on our house about three weeks ago so we've got two moves to make this year. Renting whilst we finish our self build and then back here, but 30 metres away.
Click on Edit Profile, then on Notification Preferences, then untick the boxes which are allowing email notification.
Particularly useful if you have running threads on different boards.
It’s like the old subscribed threads list, except that you don’t automatically get bookmarked when you post on a thread - you have to actively bookmark it.(I just lurve spiders!)

I would drive up there tonight, now, and see what the house is like at night, whether the road is quiet, where all the cars are parked. Just a quick butchers to get the lie of the land when it's dark. Just a thought.8

I didn't really discuss their timings/stage of their planned move or what they were hoping to do etc...
Agent was just a couple of years past nappy changing age and there's so much pressure at a viewing to kind of ... just view. I did ask the question, as I stuck my head into the downstairs bog area.... and got the brief outline.
I think the agent was just going through the motions (not in the bog) ... and zoning out mentally while letting me plod about a bit. I send out peculiar body language and his sort are "tuned" into sell/buy body language, whereas I throw out "I'd rather die than touch this with a barge pole" body language. Nobody can read me rightIt's an issue I can't fix.
Either the previous viewers were rushing to the office to put an offer in and he thought he had it in the bag already, or he was just bored and didn't think I was serious.... so I stopped bothering to ask him really6 -
You lot could hire a minibus and turn up and I'll arrange a 2nd viewing and you can all do the prodding, enquiring, poking about, DECIDING, offering etc for me ... if you're not too busy6

When I decided to sell I felt I needed a new microwave and kettle... but I'd wait until I got a new place. By the time it got round to it, every time I used them I wondered if "today will be the day this breaks"4 -

In any case, most of the time most areas are pretty quiet, you need to know the peak times and what you're looking for. The whole "look at different times" works to a point, but you really need 24/7 surveillance for several months to really know what goes on.
Who is to say that the chap 5 doors down doesn't drag 3 bangers out of storage come Easter and spend the entire summer fixing them on the front drive, before loading them up on trailers and taking them out racing 3-4x a week (bet there's one of those as streetview showed such a scene). No sign of it today.... maybe he moved, or maybe he's waiting for Easter
As is typical with a lot of established council estates... there's a high proportion of racing banger owners. The last house for sale in the next street had one next door... they're everywhere.4
