My son is flying in from Thailand today. We’re going to be listening out for coughing.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?5 -

A funny thing happened to me this morning ..... I'd noticed I wasn't getting much/any mail, but had received a letter yesterday, but it was niggling me that I should "look into it". It's re-directed.
Today Royal Mail phoned me .... it turns out they've made a mistake. She said a woman had contacted them as she keeps getting mail for me ... so they phoned me. It turns out our postcodes are almost identical (hers ends in X, mine ends in S), but I am in "Road" and she is in "Close".... the annoying thing for me is it was RM's mistake as I had to select my address from a drop down on their website!
It was me that squeezed enough information out of the caller to be able to Google the other person's postcode and spot the error and advise them what they'd been doing wrong. Should all be fixed now.

Oh drat! About an hour ago I posted something with a photo, but it has disappeared.
I suppose I didn’t hit the Post Comment button properly.
Oh well. I can’t be bothered to re-write it.
Have just got back from the dentist....6-monthly check-up and hygienist visit.
I did wonder whether to cancel it, in view of having to be up close and personal with three people, even if they are wearing masks and gloves. However, I reckoned that it was better to go now, before any corona cases are officially in the area, than maybe in a month’s time when there might be some.
One guy being seen was coughing a bit. 😱
My throat spray and hand foam use went into overdrive!
Anyway, all ok, teeth x-rays ok, and hygienist turned me temporarily into a Smurf with her blue dye water-blaster thing. It always amazes me that they manage to find some plaque even after I’m brushing teeth and using floss and those interdental brush things.
So, that’s that for another 6 months.
It’s clever how X-rays come straight up onto the computer these days.

It's good to be aware/cautious though. They DO walk among us.5 -

I nearly viewed one today. I had one lined up, but, instead of just arranging a viewing I took a drive by ... well, you can't drive by it, so I drove into it's little "behind the houses bit" to view it. Complete deal breaker.
2 parking spots, tandem. The boundary of which is tight and marked only by a thin strip of differently coloured block paving. Then, the other side of that invisible boundary ... there were 2-3 gates into rear gardens of family homes (3 bedders).
Uh-ho... not for me thank you very much. Those back gates will be kiddie fests with perpetual screaming access with an assortment of toys.
I got given a sheet in the estate agents of another, did a drive by of that one (again, 3-4 houses built behind others), then looked online when I got home to see why I'd dismissed it before... in part it wasn't an area of particular interest, but the real problem with it is orientation. Back garden faces East and it's tight up against the boundary fence of another house so no southerly side strip or anything one could 'adapt' to being "the sunny spot" after 11am.
I was also offered one in the estate agents that isn't on the market yet. He said he could get me in early/that afternoon if I liked as he was there to measure up... been in the same family for about 50 years, parents both died. Daughter lives half there and half in southern USA and will fly off in March never to return... was I interested? £295k, it needed more work than I wanted or could afford, so that was a no. Shame, but it really needed opening up at the back, a bit of rejigging and then the inevitable "hidden problems" you find in places where people've just lived their lives for XX decades.4
