I ummed and ahhed and went the hairdressers on Friday. Mainly on the grounds that OH had decided to go to the office so risking exposure. I'm glad I did now as the hairdresser announced they were closing today.

Oh I have got a major hangover today. 

I think it is mixing with vertigo and making me feel more spaced out than usual.

I was thinking. YES!!! Now I don't have the bother of having to get an appointment. Have someone pull my hair which is painful and I don't have to stress about boring conversations when I would rather be quiet. They probably think I am rude.

As long as I can see and it doesn't take all day to dry when I get out of the shower I don't care what it looks like. It is my hair and generally I can't see it.  Other people can keep their opinions to themselves about it. I don't care.

What about when you look in the mirror?😁😁

I look and I think "oh that is getting a bit long I should get it cut sometime......I expect it will last another week."  3 months later.......

I was hoping to wait a bit longer, till the holiday annexe types had given up on the season and were open to renting on an open ended basis.  Going through agents is almost a dud due to referencing and all that faff.  At the moment, most of the holiday business lot are in denial about the length this will all play out over and think that even by Easter it'll be fine... certainly by the summer holidays... so they're not flooding the market with options at all... they're still waiting, expecting. 

I look on RM and I look on spareroom.  I don't want to leap from the frying pan (literally in this case) to the fire!  

Such bad timing.  Why me????  Whyyy?  

Rents are silly/high round here, plus council tax, plus bills.... a holiday let for as long as I want it would be bills inclusive at least.... and I'd hope to be able to decant some of my storage stuff into it and either kill the storage (£170/month) or reduce it (£120/month).  So it's also that balance of total cost of somewhere to live, considering how much of the storage stuff I'd have room for, or not.  And all for pennies.  

Could you approach some h9liday parks and ask, just to test the water, instead of wait8ng for ads?

Most have announced they're closing. Owner occupiers can remain.  In the main, though, holiday caravans sleep 6-8, so are priced accordingly even in difficult times.   Like all housing, it's pricey for one. 

Yep, received confirmation that my break booked for the end of April has been cancelled. I knew it was coming but it was still an "Oh" moment when it did. I had a choice of a voucher for the full amount plus 20% to book another holiday at a (much) later date or a straight refund of the full cost.

I went for the voucher and will look to book in the Autumn....fingers crossed.

I know this will surprise you but I bet LL does not listen out for your noise nor notice if you move across the light.  Why don't you just run the TV all the time whether you are there or not so that there is always sound and light changing so she has no scooby if your are there? [I realise this is a very male offering solutions approach rather than a 'I too know how it feels to hear the noise of others cooking' reply]
