Something unusual about this dormer bungalow (it may be explained on the video, haven’t looked)

Nothing but music on the video. The layout on the floorplan is awful but didn't spot anything unusual. Streetview and Maps are interesting as it shows that it's not as contained as it looks from the pictures. What was it you thought was unusual?Sarahspangles said:Something unusual about this dormer bungalow (it may be explained on the video, haven’t looked)

No upper floor? An “occasional bedroom”? Definitely a USP - “occasionally this room is a bedroom, but it is usually a ballroom”Sarahspangles said:Something unusual about this dormer bungalow (it may be explained on the video, haven’t looked)

Well it’s supposedly a dormer bungalow and you can certainly see a dormer window on the pics, but it’s not a room that is shown on the plans or pictures. There is mention of a loft ladder in the ‘Occasional bedroom’. I wonder if there were originally stairs in the Reception Hall/Sun Room mash up, because you’d think it would be tricky to get everything you need to add a dormer up a loft ladder? Or it could just be a boarded out loft with a massive train set that acquired pretensions.Bonniepurple said:

The dormer - and how you get upstairs. I think at some point a staircase has been removed. I think this is an older property than might at first appear - it’s all interwar ‘villas’ in what was a leafy suburb but this doesn’t fit.joho said:

What a unique quality. Surely no Estate Agent has ever described a property such as that.1 -

Translation: I had to break out the extra wide angle lens and forget to put dimensions on the floor plan. That's ho w tiny this house is.1 -

Gosh, we viewed a house in that village before we made the final decision to relocate to Cumbria. Love the cats
