In general I have to say I really don't get the appeal of free-standing baths. I know they are very trendy but I always just think about how you must have to clean under and around them!8 -
You have to wonder how it got like that. The mania about having everything open plan and either shiny or painted grey started downstairs. As it spread upstairs you can see the owner saying ‘Walls are so 2010, let’s have the en suite fully open plan too’. It’s bad enough in hotels when the bathroom is doorless around a corner, here if your OH had three pints and a dodgy kebab your only refuge would be hiding under the duvet.SallyCinnamon said:

the boiler isn’t large enough to fill it & the free standing taps are a flood waiting to happen.
also it blocks the window so I have to stand in the bath to clean the window.the guy who tiled the wall behind it must have thought that spacers were an expense too far so the whole effect is ‘white elephant listing on a sea of tipsy tiles’
