PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

It's been partially cleared, so no need to worry that someone was living there surrounded by plastic bags and piles of unwanted goods.
I think everyone, with advancing age, reaches a point where updating (again) becomes impossible to contemplate. Keeping things clean and replacing essential items is enough.7 -

I personally cannot imagine living there as it is, but then you can see the stickers in the kitchen and the bathroom - someone didn't just stick them there for the sake of it, it was their home, and probably their whole world for 95% of the time or more. It makes you wonder if they'd become acustomed to the way it is, or were just incapable of changing anything.Part of me scoffs when I see it, then it's a reminder that there are people out there worse off than ourselves. It also makes me worry about my own future.6

The sad bear waiting for his therapist?
The unsafe landing stair rail gaps? Not a house for small children.
