I get that it's more convenient than having to go to the shed when you want some logs, but you could just have a little bucket next to the fire that you top up. But having a wall of logs seems to be a design thing at the moment. Not just spiders.. I had a huge pile of Poplar seasoned and stacked in the shed one winter. Every time I brought a load in for the fire, I'd get wasp beetles buzzing around. The little darlings had been living under the bark, pupating, and emerging once in the warm house.SadieO said:
