Tastes change and I'm a child of the 40s/50s but really wonder at anyone ever believing that that bathroom was attractive and keeping it intact for so many decades.
(Normally I don't believe in getting rid of perfectly serviceable items - my own main bathroom has a pink suite and plain pale pink wall tiles - but even I couldn't live with the overwhelming orange (apricot?).)

I'm a tad younger and remember aspiring to own much of that stuff.  It all seemed so homely and warm individual after the cold and somewhat stark black and white and green homogeneity of the 1950s bathroom.  Admittedly the fifties stuff was getting on a bit at that time, so I never got to see it new, but the coloured suite, carpet and busy tiles combination lodged itself somewhere in my subconscious as the bathroom for the middle class family.  Modern all-white stuff just isn't the same.

I like the bathroom in the Upminster bungalow, obviously.  Just look at the tiles!

Which bit would drive you crazy?  for me the gas fire not in the middle of the chimney breast, and the bedroom television way too high on the wall with the wires hanging down not hidden.  Ditto the silly off centre shelf next to the living room tv.

And the over size clock should be in the living room.  But all those, apart from the offset fire will be gone when you move in.

Nice enough house. The proximity to Twickenham isn't necessarily a problem. The sewage treatment works is!

Was going to share just because it is beautiful but then the staircase from the bathroom to the bedroom caught my eye. Crying out for a partition wall.

I don't think there was an original barn or any hope that this could be anything other than a pad for a mobile home, probably without planning for any sort of permanent residence. Even where I live, in the !!!!!! end of nowhere, a barn with genuine possibilities won't be less than £150k..... before the conversion process starts.
