Actually, as a home when you have your first job and either want to live away from your parents, or you need to, I think this studio flat will be good. The person living there won't have accumulated much stuff, probably can't afford big utility bills and it looks quite trendy. When I first left 'home' I was paying the equivalent of £500 per month (in today's money) for a room in a shared house complete with grimy threadbare carpets, shared bathroom and limited heating. I'd have much preferred that clean and new studio flat!
