I was wondering who owned it too and found this history of some of the previous owners. Built by an Iranian businessman, whose wife hated it so much she refused to move in!

Obviously the wife had some taste! I imagine that Palladio would be turning in his grave at the thought of being associated with it.

I wonder why the applications to turn it into flats was refused - it looks as though it could have worked quite well as a complex of retirement flats, or something similar, if some of the tackier fitting were removed.
