For all that square footage, there isn't that much accommodation and the novelty of the place would soon wear off if you wanted to use the tower on a regular basis. Keeping those staircases clean would be a full time job and I dread to think of the cost if the tower needed any maintenance work carrying outOxon said:No good if you’re scared of heightsIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales3 -
I got very travel sick once on a holiday driving round that area, it prob wouldn't have been quite as awful had i not been the one drivingFreeBear said:
Ambleside, you can't move for wannabe walkers clacking round the place with their shiny new boots, untarnished waterproof jackets, and the walking sticks. Ambleside is a nice place outside of tourist season which is usually 51 weeks of the year.Poster_586329 said: Fantasy house shopping again with imaginary millions. I like the look of this place!:

It does say 50.5 miles from Thurso. That extra .5 miles puts it out of my preferred commuting range though.lincroft1710 said:
I get annoyed with these agents who don't include a floor plan. But I do like the open air aspect and security of not having those easily breakable glazed window openings. I also like the rural style of floor covering, very organic. One thing does bother me, they don't state the distance from London or where the nearest railway station is, so possibly just out of reach for city commuters.Poster_586329 said:FreeBear said:Another one for the JustJane101 challenge... I wonder how long the journey would take to Thurso by the cheapest method?MCI said:

I definitely like the look of this 4-bed terraced house. Look at the floor plan, it's huge! And pretty centrally located...

Nah. The lift doesn't even go all the way up to the top floor. Means having to climb the stairs if one wants to use the terrace.Poster_586329 said:I definitely like the look of this 4-bed terraced house. Look at the floor plan, it's huge! And pretty centrally located...
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

I'd get a Stannah stairlift fitted!

It's actually on a quietish street a walk away from the centre of Covent Garden. Next door to a pub, a dry-cleaners, and a Majestic Wine shop! Well, you can't choose your neighbours....

Given the choice I think I'd rather this 4-bed. It's nice and roomy at 700+ square metres:Though it's not sold in 4 years so it must be more than a few million over-priced. On a bit of a busy road, too!

For that many million I'd expect straight walls.Poster_586329 said:I definitely like the look of this 4-bed terraced house. Look at the floor plan, it's huge! And pretty centrally located...A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.3
