In my old place, I had a very old chest of drawers that I eventually broke up when I moved (charity shop didn't even want it ) but for temp storage to use it I managed to lift and put it into an alcove between the chimney breast and wall - it was such a tight fit that I realised later that it was sitting on top of the skirting board on three sides!0

The reduction in the use of toilet paper is good for the environment too.
I think this is a constant problem in the UK. People just accept things as they are, don't even aspire to better.0 -
