The house that my mum and dad bought in the 1970s was just like that - a loo that was part of the house footprint, but only accessed by an outside door.BikingBud said:
Do you think that everything that was "good" about the house, carpets, plaster on chimney breast, dwarf walls in the garden, greenhouse, turf, wardrobe doors, wardrobes, curtains was removed and left under the tarp in the front garden.GDB2222 said:
You can see how much they haven't improved the house since they bought it for £390k.lincroft1710 said:

On the plus side there is a downstairs toilet, but you have to go outside to the garden to get in!
The plan was to fit a new bathroom asap, but we would have to use the outside loo in the meantime. The house had been empty for a few months, and it was clear that the local kids had been using it while playing in the overgrown garden. Day we moved in, mum used 4 bottles of bleach (down the loo) and a power hose (walls and floor etc) to get it clean. And dad fitted a door lock. We had just sat down to dinner when there was a furious banging on the back door - 4 urchins demanding to know why 'their' toilet was locked. They never returned....5 -

I can’t decide if that is beautifully preserved original, or a recreation of the style with a fabulous eye for detail. The William Morris (style?) wallpaper is a lovely touch and very appropriate for the location, too!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Feels like there is a story there doesn’t it - it’s the sort of house that gets bought because someone loves the style, and the new owners clearly bought into that as they added to it with their furniture choices etc, so to sell again so fast is unusual.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

So they have added no value of their own, but seeking a substantial premium above the average for the locale. Best of luck with that in a currently static London market.0 -

With it being so near the North Circular that will put off a few (like me) due to noise and pollution , despite some EA's frequent claims about transport links etcposeidon1 said:Green_hopeful said:@EssexHebridean It was like this when they bought but it was only 2021. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/details/fe390c2f-aeab-4158-b77e-f085fda52c63

@poseidon1 i thought that too. £90k for nothing but there are still some hot house areas where houses are silly prices.2
