Nah, too near a watercourse. That's going to add at least £40 per year to my home insurance.  :p
It’s not the only problem you may have if that house belongs to who I think it belongs to. Can you tell what it is yet!
Wouldn’t bother me; he’s dead. The price might be an issue though 🤣

Is that an outdoor carpet ?

And.... Not a very classy owner - One does not store screwtop bottles on their sides in a wine rack.

I do. Where else would you store them?

I keep candles in mine - Lord knows what that makes me
In light of recent events on the continent, I'd say candles in the wine rack makes you practical.

Screwtop and T-corks should be stored upright in a cool dark location. In the wine cellar next to the vintage stuff is fine.
But if we are talking about the cheap £5 bottles of plonk from Aldi, just bung them in the fridge.

The primary reason for storing bottles on their side if they have proper corks is to keep the cork moist. If it dries out, it could shrink and allow air to enter the bottle and spoil the contents.
With screwtops, the contents could leak out over time if stored on their sides - I've had this happen with a couple of bottles of spirits. The screwtops are also more prone to corrosion (wines are slightly acidic), so another reason for storing the bottles upright.

If the screw tops corroded they are made from the wrong material.

How is it acceptable to use something that could taint or even render the contents poisonous ?

The screw tops are unlikely to get long enough to corrode 🤣
but of course, keeping them on their side is to stop the cork drying- never really considered the fact that screw tops don’t dry out 😊
