Can't see a tabby inside. But the catio is open, so I figured he/she was allowed out for a runaround.

Initially I was quite confused, as my address was there and there were people living at it. I thought that my house and road were a new estate created at the same time, from fields. By looking at historic maps, I found that the street had been here since at least the 1920s. But, online search for my house shows that it was built in the 1950s-60. (Sadly, prime abestos era). I've done searches to see if I could find any pictures or information about the house that was here previously, but so far nothing doing.

That is really lovely.  It’s a shame you can’t just look round houses for sale like you could in the “old days”.  I do understand why.  When we were living in Devon a friend put her gorgeous “chocolate box”  thatched cottage on the market.  She was swamped with people looking round but most weren’t serious buyers.

@Murphybear we live in a slightly nicer area and when we last put our house on the market we had 36 viewings and no actual offers. I think the majority of people just wanted to look around. In a previous house people admitted to coming round to have a look because it looked interesting from the outside and they regularly passed the house. I think i would rather people were honest but i guess the agents would get bored of them. Keeps the house tidy, having it on the market.
