An estate agent who has clearly worked out how to use the timer function on their camera. Either that, or the estate agent is a vampire.

A lot of cameras have a remote that you can press. Old school cameras would have a cable release (somewhere, I have a 10 foot pneumatic...).
my current camera can be remote released via an app now too!

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, white-out!

Do you hate colour?  Do you hate internal walls?  Do you hate the planet, but love heating empty space?  Would you rather have a patch of Lunar surface than a front garden?  If so, here's an overpriced house for you.  Public transport connections are excellent, despite the agent being coy about them (check Street View).  The agent does, however, describe the renovation work as 'turn key' - one assumes the 'n' is silent.

As houses go, it's also quite small.  Nothing wrong with that, but poor layout both downstairs and up mean that what modest space there is is badly utilized.  The second 'room' - void - to the right of the stairs is artificially narrow, possibly because removal of transverse supporting walls have necessitated the erection of a thick-walled central 'column' (round the downstairs WC).  You can see that in the plan.

The less said about the 3'-wide bathroom, the better.

Another older house with beautiful features. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/157420880 Love the fireplaces, floors and doors and tiles.
Love that. I always fancied retiring down there, well until my friend who lived down there died.
I’d keep the kitchen, it’s wonderful. In fact other than some of the carpets I don’t think I’d change much at all. 🥰

Has taken longer than I expected to find the before photos https://www.zoopla.co.uk/property/uprn/100090480885/ although Zoopla clearly having a glitch with the November 2011 listing which is another property all together.

It was a lot nicer back then, wasn't it!  Admit that I was wrong about a transverse dividing wall downstairs, but do note that the hall walls have been knocked down.  I'm also doubtful whether the 'improvements' - painting everything white, the aforementioned elimination of the hall and demolishing the garage - have doubled the value.  If anything, prices seem to be on the wane in Colchester, so suspect the vendor is dreaming with the half-million asking.

Also note that it was last sold as a two-bed, which seems a bit more fitting with the size of the house!
