Fieldside Manor Internal Walkthrough Video
What a place this must have been. The contrast between the staff area and the family house is so interesting. Two Agas! I wonder if it can or will be saved.
But, I too hope this can be saved.
EDIT: The building that was the west lodge of the manor is a hotel, and looks to be in good condition.

A bit of a cheat this one, as there is planning permission to demolish the current building and build two semi-detached houses. They do say there is the option of refurbishment. It looks to be a bit of a challenge.

Demolish? What are you talking about? That place is suitable for immediate occupation and is full of exciting, dynamic and modern features such as an all-elevation exposed chimney stack and minimalist, negative-space slate roofing that provides an airy, double-height ambience to all rooms and freshwater cooling during wet weather. The property also features a fully equipped 'rage room', complete with tools and destructible objects, for the entertainment of guests. An inner passage is decorated in the Italian primitive style, with mixed-media wallcoverings and the latest in freeform terrazzo flooring. Other rooms evoke the English mediaeval period, with wattle-and-daub effect walls. A further space has an RHS-inspired 'living carpet', which is maintenance free thanks to the provision of a rain-fed automatic watering system. Finally, there are New-York-loft-esque exposed electrical fittings throughout. The garden is well stocked with mature greenery and includes a range of useful outbuildings in the Primitive Shanty style. All enquiries received with interest. First to see will buy...RHemmings said:A bit of a cheat this one, as there is planning permission to demolish the current building and build two semi-detached houses. That's beautiful. Barnards Castle isn't far from us. We passed it just the other day.
