PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. This sort-of fits here. An entrepreneur (Simon Squibb) bought a disused staircase for £25,000.
He said that he wanted to turn each floor into a pop-up shop. When he bought he had no planning permission for that and didn't know if it would be possible.

In December of 2023, it had become a Kickstarter hub, where people can record business pitches on the doorbell. https://www.standard.co.uk/homesandproperty/property-news/twickenham-staircase-disused-kickstarter-hub-b1126697.html
Nine months or so on, I wonder if anyone knows what has happend to it.
