For some reason, that place reminds me of the protagonists' house in the 2022 film 'Don't Worry Darling'. The film is a feminist-slanted and not entirely successful rehash of 'The Matrix', which concerns people who live inside a computer game that simulates life in an imagined, 1950s/60s-esque environment. Being a simulacrum, it evokes the fifties rather than faithfully recreating them. I can't recommend the film on the basis that its potentially interesting subject matter is rendered leaden by a tedious plot.Tiglet2 said:My initial thoughts were that this was bland newish build box, very little character, shoe-horned into a tight corner.

One might suggest that the house found by @Tiglet2 is also rendered leaden by a tedious plot...1 -
Pic 5 - Photoshopping at its best (and in case there's any doubt, see the name of the photo!)

This sort-of fits here. An entrepreneur (Simon Squibb) bought a disused staircase for £25,000.

He said that he wanted to turn each floor into a pop-up shop. When he bought he had no planning permission for that and didn't know if it would be possible.

In December of 2023, it had become a Kickstarter hub, where people can record business pitches on the doorbell. https://www.standard.co.uk/homesandproperty/property-news/twickenham-staircase-disused-kickstarter-hub-b1126697.html
Nine months or so on, I wonder if anyone knows what has happend to it.

That’s really funny. Also the final pic, titled ‘Dollhouse View’ designed to give you an impression of what the house would look like if there was ever an explosion/tornado damage. I bet the seller paid handsomely for that.Brewerspride said:Pic 5 - Photoshopping at its best (and in case there's any doubt, see the name of the photo!)Fashion on the Ration

Picture 4 shows the lawn without photo shop. They obs just have a dog. Would have been more sensible to take the photo from a slightly different angle.Brewerspride said:Pic 5 - Photoshopping at its best (and in case there's any doubt, see the name of the photo!)0 -
A certain consistency of style but I do feel for any child living there.Tiglet2 said:My initial thoughts were that this was bland newish build box, very little character, shoe-horned into a tight corner.

Don' t tell anyone but I think Pic 6 may be a supervillain's hideout from the 1960s Batman seriesBrewerspride said:Pic 5 - Photoshopping at its best (and in case there's any doubt, see the name of the photo!)

Do two semis stuck together equal one detached? I'm not sure...3 -
I like that they have done nothing to it since they bought in 2015. The garden doesn’t look so nice though. https://www.zoopla.co.uk/property-history/61-guildford-road/colchester/co1-2rz/34802241/Ditzy_Mitzy said:https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/153501884#/floorplan?activePlan=1&channel=RES_BUY
