A studio flat for sale that has only just been listed and this is (currently) the only photo. Really piques your interest to come back and see more.

I've seen quite a few listings with just one photo, often a poor one, when the property is first listed. Usually other photos follow quite quickly. I couldn't find this property by reverse image search. Have the photos changed already?

Nasty, nasty cooker that is way too close to the LH wall. Hopefully the next owner will put something better in.

I was wondering what this planning enforcement notice was about, talking about plastic grass on the first floor of a shop. I was guessing that it was a balcony or something with a bit of plastic grass to walk on (which isn't uncommon) and was wondering why would someone object to that.

So, I went to Google Maps to have a look at the actual property.

Odd. It still doesn't come up for me in Google image search. This is not the first time that others have been able to find something by image search, and I haven't.

EDIT: TinEye doesn't find it either. For me, at least.

Wow, I’d buy it just on that picture 😂

Is it a conservation area, if so, no complaints needed. A clear breach if no application has been made.
The council could view it as "cladding", and if not signed off by Building Control, another ground for enforcement.
Then there is bad taste. Why, oh why would anyone want to put fake grass on a building.... They need to get their eyes tested.

Just to be clear, I was only wondering why anyone would object (including the council) to the fake grass before I saw the actual building. The reality explained it completely

If I wasn't going overseas Friday morning and busy, I would definitely go out and have a look at it in reality. I'm aware that the grass may be gone now
  • I think the fake grass looks better on the building than on the ground where it looks sad.

    Spot the dog*.

*There is no sign of a dog anywhere in the house. No bed or food bowls. But it's pretty realistic if it's not real.
