I don't even like it - way too industrial looking for my taste.

And what is it with this trend for living rooms without fireplaces - they look like waiting rooms!

If the house is the slightly upper/left blue blob one, then this is the planning permission. The position marker for RightMove is between those two houses. 

The images on that application look nothing like this extension on stilts.

The blob will always be at the centre of the post code. The actual house may not be near the blob.

Just used the streetview link on the rightmove page https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/141891929#/?channel=RES_BUY. The house is called 'Ty Gwyn'. 'Rhos y garreg' is to its left and 'Gwaen y dderwn' to its right. You can see the offending extension from the road when positioned in front of either neighbour.

As I said,  that extension was there in 2009, so unlikely that any application in 2011 is connected with it ,
unless it was for some kind of retrospective permission, though that is for a different house anyway.

Returning to the house with the extension on stilts - perhaps it tells us everything we need to know about it that presumably the agent wasn't willing to go into it to take photos!

They went up there to do a walk round video. The thing that concerned me was the depth of the window reveal - Strikes me that the walls are not particularly thick, and it would be ruddy freezing up there in the winter.

It reminded me a bit of a house that I used to pass regularly when we still lived in Reading. That had a stilts extension too (I used to worry that it would eventually fall down) but it wasn't a patch on that one

It is rather wonderful isn't it? Actually, probably a bit of a bargain even if the mooring costs are included. Mind you, if you aren't tied to any particular place and could just take off in it, it really would be a lark

A road i watch has a house that was clearly done to flip that has been sat empty for 2 years now due to bad timing and its now likely 50K over priced for the area, The is likely a lot of house flippers stuck with an over renovated house.
