Happy Monday, sorry to hear you've got a headache :( Hope it goes away soon xx

Well done Van_Girl :):j:j and can personally confirm cutting back on booze has saved me loads of money over the years and is so much better for health and wellbeing as well, obviously - I can really recommend it. There's a cut down on booze challenge run in a really similar way to this one in the Debt Free Diaries on MSE - I have been part of it for ages and it very much inspired the use of emoticons on this thread! It's here if you would like to check it out. :)

I’d second the cutting down alcohol thread, it was a saviour for me during dry January! I’m focussing on my AFDs as much as my NSDs - it’s addictive though!!

Good morning all! NSD 2/15 yesterday. Hopefully I can add on another later today.
    Mortgage free by 33 - (21/07/22 - 32 years and a bit...)

Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)
  • Nsd on Sunday!

But got caught out yesterday! I was at my partners and spent the day cleaning the cooker (was really bad!)

So had takeaway - although he hasn't asked for the money yet does that mean it was on him 🤔?! Lol
So not sure if it is a nsd?! Lol

Well done CJRyder and MoneysavingmadGem :) :T:T:) MoneysavingmadGem, I think if you spent the day cleaning your partner's cooker he pretty much owes you the takeaway!! :rotfl:
  • Not going to be one today, to my annoyance.

I have an eBay return for a parcel that turned up a week late with no communication from the seller until the day it was delivered, so I had ordered a replacement. Seller assured me the return would be free, and surprise surprise has gone silent again, can't be bothered with the hassle over the £3 delivery to return, just want the original money back
  • Up to 3 NSDs now.

Helps having filling lunches prepped and been using free coffee vouchers for when I want a treat :)
  • Oh I also bought some coffee vouchers in advance. I know best would be to not buy any out - I have seriously cut down! - but I also know I will want to get one when I'm tired and need a pick-me-up.

So I bought vouchers in advance for £1 - cheaper than the normal £2.40+ and I can plan when I want to use them :)
