Sky - WiFi Call
I don’t get a mobile signal at home, so was with o2 in order to use their WiFi Call. I’ve just switched to Sky as they piggy back off o2 and also offer texts over WiFi (which o2 do not) which is useful now as more banks are sending transaction codes by texts. I never had any problems with o2’s WiFi Call, all calls would come straight through over WiFi, so I expected the same would happen with Sky. Unfortunately, this is not the case. With Sky, calls usually just end up going straight to voicemail, and I know this is not peculiar to my phone as the same happens for my OH who has just switched to Sky as well. However, text messages are now received at home when they previously were not.
I’ve been in touch with Sky, but have not had any joy with them. Worryingly, the first time I called the person I spoke to in the technical team didn’t even know what WiFi Call is. When I spoke to someone else later they said the issue must be with my broadband provider, but this is not the case as I don’t have any problems with my broadband and it always worked with o2 WiFi Call.
I’ve tried turning off mobile data to try to force any calls over WiFi, but it doesn’t make any difference. Has anyone got any ideas of why this is happening and if I can do anything to make it work properly?

There is also this information on the Sky website which you should be aware of.
"Keep a look out for more compatible phones coming soon.
One to watch out for: If you didn't get your phone from us, it might not be compatible with Sky Mobile Wi-Fi calling. To check, set up Wi-Fi calling and try making a call over Wi-Fi. If the ‘Wi-Fi call’ indicator doesn’t show, then your phone isn’t compatible."
This may explain the problem you are experiencing.

Not that it is much help but I was reading a review of various providers the other day and Sky's Wifi calling did not rate very highly.
I did see one suggestion of putting the phone in flight mode leaving wifi on which should force it to use the wifi for callingThings that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -
I've seen these MVNO's switching off more and more features. A friend of mine on Giff-Gaff recently lost WIFI calling. Unfortunately I believe that they see you making WIFI calls as lost revenue and therefore close the feature. Giff-Gaff also seem to not offer VOLTE access. (certainly the iPhone 6S I saw Wednesday evening id not have it as a feature).'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.

Sadly not - there are lots of requests on their forums for them to supply it.
They appear to have been "looking into" it for a number of yearsThings that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -

The way to force it is to turn on airplane mode and then turn WiFi back on, if WiFi Calling is active it will connect.====0
