It is in a lovely location and only saw it the day I moved in except pictures on RM.
It had the space outside we need and not near a road so although it was more of a refurb we wanted to do it suited our needs.
A year in and still no plaster on the walls but the kitchen is on the homeward stretch now and damp solved , roof and chimneys repaired and opened up , guttering and facias replaced ,, garage and front doors replaced so fingers crossed just cosmetics to do and 3-4 years to do it in .
Thank you for your kind comment , first couple of months in the cold and misery of January it was a bit of a struggle but it's coming along slowly0 -
We have just sold our house, and spent a good lot of time trying to decide between having a shower over bath or no bath and just a shower. In the end, we went for a shower over the bath, and I'm so glad we did. Our buyers said it was the good use of space in the bathroom that they particularly liked about the property. I would say go with both.Be Kind, Work Hard, Stay Humble, Smile Often, Keep Honest, Stay Loyal, Travel When Possible, Never Stop Learning, Be Thankful Always and Love0

Do share some pics sometime. I'd LOVE to see how it is all coming along.

Hidden cistern looks great, but it’s a gigantic PITA when something goes wrong. I prefer exposed plumbing, although I admit that I am in a minority.
I don't mean a hidden cistern behind tiles. I agree: absolute pain and I would never install one. I am referring to a BTW Cabinet, the same depth as the basin unit with a removable top and front panel allowing easy access to the cistern.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -

You need to decide what's best for you, but I wouldn't buy a house without a bath.Live the good life where you have been planted.

Based on my clients' buying preferences, if your target market when selling will comprise of families, not having a bath will most definitely reduce the pool of potential buyers.babyblade41 wrote: »How much would it put you off not having a bath in the house.0

I have had to succumb and think long term it will be better to have a bath:(

Fridge freezer is where disabled shower was and the wall dividing it from the kitchen
plaster removed from all floors and ceiling, but will leave the breast brick. Re-opening the fire place was a messy job. Just have to re-point the bricks in both rooms
One end of the kitchen so far, still need a sparky to come back and finish and need the other end of the kitchen still needs more plasterwork done
Before the wall came down

Just because they had to get their photos in !!!
Dining room is plastered and painted but floor needs to go down and skirting replaced
Still a lot of work to be done, and wasted a lot of time gaining PP and then realising it would be wasting too much money so Doozergirl said in an earlier reply to a previous question to use what we have, so we did
forgot the big man !!!0 -
Just look at those lovely wee doggies....:):):)
And you've done wonders so far. That fireplace and dining area is to die for. It's all beautiful.0
