see you all in march and many thanks for your help and encouragementonwards and upwards5 -
Not long to go until the month end now. Just a few top up bits to buy. I'm estimating we will come in at around £315 against a budget of £300, but that is still only £63 a week against the £60 planned. And I've still got lots of bits in the fridge being saved for the weekend (which is technically a new week).
I've been keeping a rough list of what I purchased on each shop - its amazing how much we actually consume. We have certainly not gone without.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

I’ve done for February now and came in at £155.95. Not quite but nearly. It’s a 5 weeker next month so I might increase slightly; I’ll have a think and a look at the budget.SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)6

Declaring £240.05 which is £40.05 over what I wanted to spend. I'm not going to beat myself up about it.
I allow myself £8.25 per day for groceries and keep a pretty tight worksheet on what I spend. To the end of Feb my allowance should be 586.25 but I've actually spent 527.09. I try to build up a reserve over the year because of Christmas. The reserve now stands at £59.16
I don't know what you call it but I got myself a card where you have to deposit money on it and you can only spend what is there. It one of the best things I have ever done in keeping a track on what I spend on groceries. I transfer money onto it on the 1st of every month (8.25 x no of days in the month) and I only take that card with me when I go to the supermarket - It works for me6 -

Been to FF and stocked up on OH's butter, sugar and sweet's, as usual more went in the basket, but it can all be worked into the meal plan and I also got some long life milk as we used up the last of the one's we had in last week. Start of new month for me tomorrow so declaring at £247.80, so just under, which I'm thankful for.£71.93/ £180.005

Did what should be the last shop of the month today. Total of £315 - so slightly over my £300 target. But it comes out at £63/week, which seems much closer to £60/week.
March is four weeks for me, so a target of £240.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Last grocery spend of the month came in at £70, that did include £25 on wine and gin as we have guests over the weekend - went over the months budget by £25, but not too done about that, as with the house renovations I have bought more ready meal type food than I ever would, and wine due to the stress of it all 😂
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Have just spent £12 in Morrison's, so that makes my Feb total £90/120!! Am chuffed with that, so am aiming for £110 next month:)"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I've still got enough planned from freezer and cupboard to last for dinners until Sunday night but tomorrow is the official end of the month so I'll do a big cleaning/laundry/loo and kitchen roll/ pet food shop on my way home. I'll meal plan on Sunday for two weeks then get the freezer filled. I've put quite a big deposit into savings this year so far which is mainly because of the advice on here so thank you all so, so much! Maybe I'll get this longed for camper van sometime 🙂Tight, Scottish Vegan
