A week until payday and I've got more money in the bank than usual! Will be over what I set for the month but I'm reasonably pleased with how well the meal planning/freezer and cupboard clean outs have been going especially since I had to do a 'bring a dish' thing for work on Tuesday. I had planned a menu until Friday but can easily do until next Tuesday I think so going in the right direction. I did buy some freezer stuff from Morries but only because they have a few of the vegan party food things reduced to clear and I can use them up to make dinners with rice/noodles etc added. Thanks all for the inspirationTight, Scottish Vegan

Today I spent £6.13 at the local Tesco and Coop. Just basics, bread, milk, eggs, toms, bans and a pizza for DS.
I'm also running out of sweeteners and my local Boots doesn't seem to be selling the Slimmer ones it had, which were the cheapest I'd found. Me and DS aren't quite ready to give them up so I'd be grateful for any suggestions!

Morning everyone!
I've decided to start a little early with joining you lovely people. I don't need to be added to the list for this month as I'll start officially in March, but I have transferred my £80 weekly budget for this week into my second account. I may draw it out in cash as that has helped in the past. This is for 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. We have lived off less so this is very reasonable for us
Franby do you have a Home Bargains or B&M near you, I think ours sell sweetners and I imagine they might be cheaper than elsewhereDebt Free Journey started 21.05.20176 -

This is over the last few days as I buy different things in different places. My challenge to only buy reduced or on offer meat/fish was a success. My husband bought us a tray of chicken and minced beef but apart from that everything else was either on offer or reduced so I’m going to carry this on for February. Today I got a packet of sausages and a whole chicken (a rare find) at 30% off.

yesterday and today. Lidl has baby bel on offer that was too good to refuse and so I spent €6 on those alone
I am still struggling with this layout and colours

this over several big shops over the past week. I feel like I’ve been doing well this month. I think the fact my husband hasn’t been going shopping helps and as we had things like nappies and wipes in stock we haven’t needed to buy any

I haven't really been keeping up with the thread this month (sorry!). Lots of coughs and colds and dragging myself through the month.
However, £71.81/£100 so far. Not sure whether I'm done or not, because I'm all over the place - I've bought what my shopping list told me to get but I have no idea what I'm making with it.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Another tenner spent at Mr S on the way home. And £5.58 at the Range on some dentals. £251/£270 total spent so far. Bit higher than I wanted but I have stuff in the fridge for us. I'm hoping this last week will be a good one.
