£62.55 spent since last post between an A&C delivery and two small Mr S shops (one Monday and one today).
OH dinner : beef and mixed pepper stir fry with egg noodles.
My dinner : spicy peanut tofu bowl with kale and savoury sesame rice.
I've got chickpeas soaking in the fridge for my dinner tomorrow, which will be used for a sweet potato chickpea bowl with maple-tahini sauce. There will be enough chickpeas to make some houmous as well as freeze some for future use.
I know OH will have the same for dinner tomorrow as today.

€16.87 to add to my total after a trip to tesco. Yesterday I managed to burst a 2l of milk all over the kitchen floor when it fell out of the fridge on me
For a tiny kitchen it made such a mess!
Replaced the milk, picked up wraps, celery, an avocado, hot dog buns, and a 2kg bag of cat food. I meant to stock up on cat food when it was on sale but entirely forgot and it's bloomin' €3.49 a bag more expensive now. Not my week! lol6 -
Spent £96 at Aldi, came a quite a shock, don’t know why as I bought wine, and meat for freezer but because I’ve been averaging 40-60 a week I feel gutted 😏Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

@StripeyTightsSpottySocks Ooh fishfinger sandwiches, I am going to add fishfingers to my shopping list. Also, leftover chilli - we used to put the chilli in enchiladas (are they just wraps?) and lay them rolled up in a dish. Then we added a tin of tomatoes to the remaining chilli and poured that over them with a bit of cheese on top and baked til ready.
@candygirl - we are with you in the Supersaver household - Aldi beans all the way. Also, have you tried the beans and sausages? Mr Supersaver thinks they are a real treatOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Only spent £2.99 today on soya milk, lettuce, bananas and a white loaf.
Tea was a chickpea, carrot and potato stew with toast and one portion left over which I can freeze. I also found some sliced carrots in the freezer so I didn't have to buy any. They weren't quite the same though...not sure if I should freeze raw carrots!

Hi again everyone! I'm reasonably sure there isn't anyone who has back-and-forthed to this group more than I, but I am still trying to get on top of everything. I won't be joining for Feb, but I shall hang around a bit and make plans to pick up in March
I'm struggling at the moment with a 15 and 12yr old who, in spite of having a hand in meal planning, always get "bored" of what's on offer midweek and want takeaways and impulse bought meals. I win some, I lose some. But the grocery/food bill is creeping up again and I need to do something about it.
I hope you are all doing well, speak soon

I think I should just declare this month a bust & stop worrying. Luckily, for us at the moment, that's not disastrous. But the expenses to do with my mother's visit are accumulating! Everyone wants to come to see her - my younger brother, DS2 & fiancee, DS3, various friends - which is lovely, but means quite a number of "special" meals (not to mention her special diet) and extra mouths to feed, beds to change, bedding to wash etc. The brother who deals with her finances has kindly transferred an entirely reasonable sum to cover all this, but I'm - just going to struggle to keep track of it all! So best I duck out for now. Good luck all, and see you next month!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)8
