Well the washing machine drum certainly looks nice and shiny, and it did a great job of getting rid of any gunk that could have been lurking between the door seal and the drum too. Normally when I use soda crystals, there's still some gunk left around the door seal and drum joint which I have to wipe out with a cloth. I used 2 dishwasher tablets, though I think that 1 probably would have been adequate. I saw it being used on pinterest I think it was, and people were literally seeing brown water sloshing around their machines. I'm pleased to say that all I saw was foam. It makes quite a bit of noise with the tablet clanking around the drum though just to warm you. I set it on a 90C wash cycle with nothing else in the machine.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
We have a kitchen!!!! The vinyl fitter came today and we can now start moving the dw and wm back permanently:j Only one small wall left to paint. Curtains washed, dried and now ironed (by Mr N). Tomorrow we can finish moving all the dishes, food etc which has been lurking in the dining room back into the kitchen.
Also:
- went to zumba
- did drumming practice
- did 2 on line searches for car insurance. Rang current insurer to negotiate. No joy - most unusual as we have been with them for years and always manage to bargain - so insured via another company (although the actual insurance company is identical). Gosh how I hate instigating phone calls. Don't mind answering the blighter. So at some stage I'll need to ring the old company to tell them not to renew...........save that for another day! Wimp.
- did a bit more of a report and all paperwork ready for next 2 days' assessments.
About to have a quick bite to eat now as I'm going to the cinema this eve and want to drop into Decathl0n on the way as the one near me is closing, sad as it is good for cheap sports gear. Hopefully I'll find a bargain or 2.
Hope you're ok JoJoRemember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Hi all
Hospital today to see consultant, difficult to say for definite if the chemo is working but scan results are encouraging. They are giving DS a few more days at home before round three. I was up early to do a bit of work so tired now.
Working to my own lists this week but have managed to run hoover around, change our bed, dust bedroom and put two loads of washing in.
Think it might be an early night.0 -
Today I have flown in the house (well kitchen) of a distant (both in family terms and geographically) elderly relative. I have filled the rubbish bin with ood food. Well I filled the recycling bin - black bin for recycling? Never heard of such a thing... so then I had to dive in that bin and transfer the rubbish to the burgundy bin which is, as I have just confirmed online, actually for the non-recyclable waste. My mum also flew in his LR and BR, as he was being discharged from hospital today.
I've not been home long and I am going to have a second shower shortly.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all
Back from a fab long weekend, came home to heating not working :eek: desperate begging email sent to heating engineer, he’s going to try and come today to look at it. Why does something go wrong every time we go away.... is the universe trying to tell me something???
Anyway on to flying, as it was cold here last night I unpacked the bags, made a shopping list, sorted the laundry in to loads and put all the other bits away, also sorted post and did my filing.
Today I have a hospital appointment this morning then will pop to the shop for a few bits on the way back, paid stuff then and pick up the cats this evening, flying will be limited to laundry I think but the house looks pretty good as we haven’t been here!
Have a good day all x0 -

Morning
I’m not sure if I made it in at all last week as spent time with interviews, researching the companies and preparing responses for competency based questions. 2 went well, one I think I would have been offered but I priced myself out of it. There were things not right as it was a lower grade and only temporary. Not sure how a step backwards would look on my CV as I think sometimes they are harder to explain. The other one sounds perfect, not in the same town but travellable and am waiting for a second interview with the HR Director next week so fingers crossed.
So back to flying
Thank you Natty and Valli for the lists. Started the week flying off piste. Our room is a bear pit so decided that it was time for a decluttered and very deep clean. Suggested that DH and I do this together. He was game for about an hour then went downstairs to look up coat hangers on Amazing. He was halfway through wiping down the dressing table. I never saw him after that so gave him an earful, I was so cross. He decluttered a bag of old clothes and I’ve done 2 plus one of shoes. There is still more to do as it always gets worse before it gets better and it was my intention to carry on yesterday but had a call from dad.
Mum was blue lighted into A&E as she couldn’t breathe. 6 hours later including a spell in resuscitations she was admitted with chest infection and heart failure. Dad rang last night and said she has pneumonia.
Today I will be staying home still job searching, I got my knuckles rapped for not taking in my evidence to DWP on Monday and continuing to declutter the bedroom some more.
Pigpen was Jacob GS1? I cannot believe he is 11!
