Back in from work and have stripped and remade bed, and bunged bedding in the wash.
DD has missed her train again and the later one is delayed. DH will not be a happy bunny as he has been hanging around since 5pm to pick her up. He’s still waiting....
Made it to the f&v market this morning so I’ve sorted out the fruit bowl, wiped out the fridge and put everything back in neatly. Am sitting down with a cuppa now as DH has dinner with him in the boot of his car....this could be a very late dinner.0 -
Good evening
Busy day of the paid stuff. Toddler group was closed due to sickness, so I decided to stay in. I decided that going too far with 3 small boys (1 non walker & 1 quite severely autistic) was not happening! The constant moving of small people off units and asking them not to lick the TV gets quite tiring! :rotfl: We played with the sensory lavender rice, and only had one meltdown, so not too bad!
Flying wise, I did one load of washing, put on the DW & hoovered up lots of dry lilac rice from the LR! After work I went to the car dealership to drop off my new logbook for the old car that I received today, and they refunded the £250 I had to pay last week. Zero procrastination!! That’s a first :rotfl: Popped into mr T’s on the way home for a few bits, including a new decent sized laundry basket.
The plan tomorrow is to get up early & go for a run! I’m not sure that is going to happen!! DH’s car is going in for its MOT tomorrow - more money!!test passing vibes would be appreciated!
Night night all x0 -
Bathroom mould removal completed
Miss Muddy Paws used her tray whilst I was out, so that was sorted out.
She had also knocked the living room nets down. This revealed more mould around the bay window.
I decided to do a 5 minute demould of our bedroom then do the bay window tomorrow.
I emptied the dirty water and refilled the bucket with clean. Managed to wedge the step ladder into position between the bed and the window.
Whilst carrying the bucket through the bedroom the handle snapped off.
Water went everywhere (under the bed, on the bed, over boxes, under boxes, on a rug, in the walk-in wardrobe, in drawers....)
Bedroom disaster tackled
Guzillion towels laundered
GI mot passing vibes on their way to you x0 -

Quick hello from me, Valli you lovely lady I received your PM but it won't let me reply, yes I am a teacher and I didn't know about that so thank you so much I will investigate xx
Heading out earlier than normal to go via the market for fruit and veg, so much cheaper there. Spending today and tomorrow off timetable in our pupil exclusion zone, deep joy!
Happy Thursday xx0 -
Brrr but it’s frosty out there!
Wm x 1 run in the hope that it will dry by the time I get back from work. Deluded, I’m sure. DD’s bed changed so the next load is queued and waiting. I need to WULTD before I leave and sort out the recycling.
I’m hoping to work nearer my contracted hours today rather than double the time I get paid for, but I bet it doesn’t happen.
Hope the car passes it’s MOT, GI.
Hugs, dancemum, I would have cried.
Squishy hugs to you, ASB, just because. X0 -
Fayolle I would have cried if I had the energy. X
I have very clean floorboards in half my bedroom. (Valli’s Pollyanna thinking here)
I need to pop to Mr Ms and may have a peep into M’lan too.
Plan after that is to tackle living room mould.
I still have piles of stuff to rehome in my room but am going to dot to dot it whenever I nip upstairs.
I have just discovered how to get sharpie marker off my worktop. I spilt a little milk and when cleaning I thought it can’t hurt to try and voila.
I feel a new toots list writing session coming up soon.
DS2 caught his transport again. Keep it up ladies x1 -
good morning
Dancemum I would have cried too!
I didn't run this morning - far too cold & dark! :rotfl: I might go with the boys later.... I need to really because it's my homework for the couch 2 5K
Dog has been walked. He still has a poorly tummy, and also needed to go out in the early hours (unusual for him). I hope he can make it to 2pm when I finish today.
Bank accounts checked, breakfast eaten. I think I will put a wash on in a mo.
I may try & get to the allotment for an hour later, as the sun is shining. My plan was to put a few hours in at the weekend (Sunday & Monday), but it looks like Ciara has other ideas!
Thanks for the positive vibes for DH's car - I hope it works, as I really can't afford for it to be expensive!! Especially as we may have to visit the vet as well!!
Have a good day everyone!4 -

Dancemum, not sure what you're using to remove the mould but I've had great success with Astonish Mould & Mildew Remover bought from £land. It removed the mould and so far it's stayed away must be over 6 months now, living in the Lake District I get a lot of rain :rotfl:
Been plodding away getting odd jobs done that need doing, next job is to scrub the grout in the bathroom and use some grout reviver which has had excellent reviews, it only cost £2.80 so I really hope it works, will take before & after photos.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:3 -
Dancemum.. you have to laugh or you do cry.. life is too short for tears over a little spillage.. and look how glorious and sparkly your bedroom is now!! (Mine in a pit!)
I have one naked kitten as he hid his collar AGAIN.. it is every day he hides the darn thing.. He is a nudist!
The pub where OH works has a wacky area and they are after starting a toddler group so I said I would look for people who might be willing to come do a chat session or activity and let the organiser know.. I still have links in the world of toddler.. even though I removed myself from it 15 years ago.. I had just had enough of whiny mothers, lazy childminders and snotty germ spreading toddlers.. The small 4 never went to a toddler group. Anyway.. small list sorted.
OH took Twinkle to nursery and himself to the gym so I have an afternoon alone.. not sure where I should clean first! I am tempted to sit here and eat bourbons and sup tea..
Alas.. the house is utterly disgusting.. I need OH to have a proper 9-5 and me be in the house by myself so I can crack on with it... Maybe by October!
So.. afternoon list..
