I agree with Saffronflowers - if you are ever going to reduce your maintenance then it would only be fair to give your ex some notice so she can rebudget for herself.

My way of thinking is i left my wife not my kids and they don't deserve to suffer because of that.

been snowballing for the last hour, reckon i need to throw another £100 at my cc on top of £100 from isa and that should be clear by june 08 not allowing for any lumps i can bite off it before then!

That should leave me with £300ish to live on, 10p posting day on ebay tomorrow so going to have a route about! every little helps!

Anyone any ideas on my debt dilema?

Do it let gf spend £10000 of house sale profit on my debt or beast it out myself? she insists on doing it as she says the debt will affect our future so we need to get rid of it soon. But i think we should save it to get back on the ladder in a couple of years!

I'm torn between both options

How do you guys deal with the fact that its going to be ages to clear your debt?

I know what i need to do and how to achieve it and i know i'm motivated and will pay everything off before my snowball date, but i'm impatient and want to do it now!!!

I want to make money and i've been searching for ways to do it, my job won't let me get a second job due to i go away frequently and work sometimes 18hr days,

joined a few survey sites but no surveys yet, how often do they turn up?

Any other ideas?

Hi there HITS, you sound as though you are making great progress. Re what to do with the profit from your gf's flat, what is the rush really? Is it just to get out of debt quick and buy a place together or is it so you can have a child together - and her clock is going tick tock?
That's a very personal question - but not meant to offend and no need to answer either.

Its a bit of both really, its just that the debt is stopping our freedom, she has debt aswell but earns a good wage £2500 a month so not as affected as me.

but we are having to get off the ladder for various reasons not money but obviously we want to get back on as soon as possible before the world goes crazy and all we can afford is a shed from B & Q.

so its time to get amongst these debts, and live the life we want, not the one we have to
