Yup! It certainly will!
Me and OH are going to 2 weddings in New Zealand (my OH's from NZ) and stopping off for a couple of days in Oz too!
I'm so excited, but the downside is I had to pay for my flight on my credit card after getting within £200.00 of paying it off!
I'm not too stressed, though as I have a kick a*se budget and now this challenge!
I want to try and pay off as much of the card as possible before I go, as well as saving for spends and rent whilst I'm away! ekk!
It will certainly help... if I can stick to it!0 -
Sounds like a great holiday LP!!
I'm off to centre parcs on fri for christmas week, costing £1200 which went on cc, plus i think its very expensive there. But can't wait for a quality week with my gf without kids, well except the one growing in her belly!!!
Then family new year so shouldn't be too expensive!!! Sponge off mums cooking and dads beer cabinet!!
Then Jan debt fighting begins! I'm going to be tightest man in the world, i might even squeak when i walk!!!
If I can manage Feb I will be laughing, I'm looking forward to seeing how LP gets on, so i can pick up some tipsDEBT AT LBM £32595.60!!!DEBT 26/3/08:£28532.25

Off christmas shopping again today!!!!
Need to keep a tight budget, its so easy to overspend!
Also was thinking this morning that when i move away I'm going to be paying rent until my gf moves up after the sale of the house, not sure how much that rent will be or how long i'll be renting for.

:j Just won £10 on last nights lottery!!:j
 But lost £2 on my matched bet! But got possibly £15 come from cricket!! for a £2 bet:p
Before anybody asks about spending on lottery etc, I won £50 a few months ago and just use that to place my lines, so it keeps itsself topped up so not too bad.
Same with the betting I won a matched bet a few months ago and just use the profit on that to bet.
So really both cost me nothingDEBT AT LBM £32595.60!!!DEBT 26/3/08:£28532.25

Well thats christmas shopping over for another year!!!:j
Spent far too much I think about £100 over budget!!! But its done now and hopefully everyone will like their prizes
Got about £400 left this month for holiday and new year should make it although a lot of travelling to do so petrol will be eating into that budget,
Can't wait for jan so i can start to smash this debt! When is the best time to start Ebaying after new year, surly most people are skint, is feb best? or maybe even march?
Even thinking about selling my car again, then using about £2000 for new car and £2000 on debt, but i reckon by the time its bought, insured, tax etc it is prob better keeping my one i have and just running it into the groundDEBT AT LBM £32595.60!!!DEBT 26/3/08:£28532.25

I need to think of some good ways to make some money,
I keep reading on here about people paying £1000s off in a few months, is this people cashing in investments , ISA's , selling cars etc???
I'm going for a no spend month in FEB, thats not one penny other than bills/ debts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've got my sealed jar and surveys but they are really long term stuff.
Also ebaying some stuff but nothing thats going to set the world on fire, when is the best time to put stuff on over the holiday period???
I need some really good earners!
How good is amazon?? I've some expensive books that might sell but how quickly??
Any ideas??DEBT AT LBM £32595.60!!!DEBT 26/3/08:£28532.25

no ideas how people manage such large sums but I am going for an extra £10 a day which seems slightly more managable. That will be an additional £3650 towards debt if successful. Its all clicks, sign ups etc which i reckon will be slower in January so I was thinking instead of ebay (which i think will be really flooded in Jan) I would do a big indoor car bootie.
Also, thinking extra job in chip shop or delivering pizzas (if i can keep the car)
dont know what the aprs are on your cards/loans as not read the whole thread but why not go for clearing the two cards by say summer....that breaks it down a bit?DFW 228 LONG H 68

thanks angel,
I've just transfered £3500 onto 0% for 15 months so i'm going to hit the other card and should have that paid off by SEPT then i will hit the £3500 hopefully all paid off before 15months is over.
That will hopefully be shortened if i can pay some big lumps off these cards!!DEBT AT LBM £32595.60!!!DEBT 26/3/08:£28532.25
