Happy Sunday,
Sun is shining, been up with the birds and been cleaning away. All beds in washing machine ready to be put on the line, nothing better than the washing line smell.
So today I'm just going to be pottering along trying to declutter and see about any unwanted items to be put on fb to sell.
So my holiday has been cancelled and hoping for some advice on what to do.
1) pay the 2k of my loan
2) put it into my savings and wait until holidays are back up and running and book once safe to do so.
I have to wait for the refund so got some time to decide.
Debt currently at £11,554.0 -
Great progress. I’d go with option number 1 personally and be motivated with how much closer to my DFD I’d be.
April 2020 - £102,222 Loans/CC’s.
Jan 2022 - £0
Cleared - £102,222
Jan 2022 - Now time to build suitable investments and a business!0 -
I am leaning more to option 1. The sooner the DFD the better. After that I will be saving £425 a month so could pay for a holiday then in no time as a treat.
Car insurance and sky is due up soon, so will find time tomorrow to go on comparison sites. Also on a debate with the husband about cancelling sky. We both work full time and hardly watch TV only in the evenings, we have netflix and watch alot on that.1 -
I would pay it off the loan and just wait to go on holiday. You will feel much better for it.

*Virgin Credit Card - £3552.50 - £0
*Natwest - £1828.35 -£400

Creation Finance - £960.32 £860
*Total debt - £8560/£11641.17*

Thats what I'm thinking and will get me under the 10k mark witch will feel great.
Back to work tomorrow after a week off, so going to carry on with the sorting today to make things much easier for when im in work.
Sent an overpayment to the loan last night of £17.02. Rounded off the bank account. Currently have £550 left to last 2 weeks till pay day. Mothers day will have to come out of that but I bunch of flowers and chocolates will do.

Over a month since I last posted.
There haven't been much to add, still undecided about the holiday payment so that's in savings till I can decide what to do. Still have been chipping away at the loan tho, rounded off there bank balance today with another £27.06 payed.
Debt currently at £10,896.
Keeping motivated to get under the 10k mark, cant wait to see loan in single figure.
Hope everyone having a lovely Easter giving the circumstances.
Keep safe0 -
Maybe make £1000 extra loan payment and keep the other £1000 towards the next holiday. The loan will then be under £10000 mark.Keep going and well done!1

I really need to update more often.
So on the debt front I havent added any more debt and I'm slowly chipping away with overpayments now under the 10k mark.
My target over the next few months is to get a grip on my food bill, as a lot of us im spending way more than I need to on my food shop.
Car insurance was due up for renewal, after calling them up I managed to save £6 a month.
Debt currently at £9,762. DD will be going out a week Friday, so will then stand at £9,337.
My target this month is to have a good sort out and sell any unwanted items, pick up extra shifts in work and basically try and over pay on the loan by £337 to get under the £9k mark.
I will update how I get on.
Hope everyone is well
