Help with Border terrier poo

Don’t cut down food based on poos, you don’t want her ending up hungry and losing condition. Google body condition scores for dogs and if she looks ok according to the charts then you aren’t feeding too much.1

Think her weight is fine. I'll keep watch to make sure she is not losing weight. It's only a slight reduction. I'm at vets next week so I'll ask.0

It's not necessarily being fed too much, it can be other factors. My twice a day dog has gone to 4 a day since I introduced yumove to his diet. I'm hoping he acclimatises, otherwise I'll have to look for an alternative.RelievedSheff said:The feeding guidelines are just that a guideline. Some dogs will need much less than recommended and others much more.
What is her weight like compared to what she should be?
Going poos four times a day is a lot for any dog.
I suspect she is being fed too much and feeding less will stop the overnight poo.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Worth checking the recommended amount of food especially when changing brands. Recommended portion sizes vary drastically between different brands which can result in far more poo than usual.elsien said:

Sorry if I’m being thick, but why is 4 poos a day so intolerable? I reckon I do 4 a day and I have a very healthy diet! My dog probably averages 3 or 4, one after each meal and one on each walk. Never occurred to me it was a problem.elsien said:

It wasn't such a problem for my dog (original post). It was just that she was waking early and doing it in the kitchen.0

Have you considered the possibility that you may just have to get up earlier too? I had a dog once who woke up needing a wee at 6am, no matter what, so I got up at 6am until he died.ceewash said:It wasn't such a problem for my dog (original post). That's what I have been doing but some mornings it was 5am. Was just looking for some advice whether it was possible to train her to wake a little later. We've now managed to get it to about 6.30 am so this is much better.0

Not necessarily a problem, it's just not the norm for Gitdog. Any change, you wonder why.onwards&upwards said:
