If the OP feels I have not been helpful or nice to him and that I have come across as accusing him of lying - he is very welcome to pm when I will be more than happy to apologise to him.0 -
Hello!
Firstly I’m a girl.
I don’t want an argument, and very much appreciate all the advice, help and kindness shown to a newbie, especially since I’ve made spelling mistakes. Let’s blame auto correct!
I have picked the worst photos ever to put on and still can’t post any so I can understand the questioning re the colours but.....
Granite Transformations/Trend Transformations have been to my house and admitted fault, even said they have had this problem before?
It’s documented it the Sydney paper.
They offered to fully replace all the worktop and backsplash, so there is NO question of false claims etc. The worktop is not fit for purpose.
They then sent me samples of a similar look, same range, they went green too.
So a replacement wasn’t possible.
What I do have a problem with is:
They’ve left me just over 2K short of being able to completely replace the worktop.
They are STILL SELLING those worktops.
So other people are going to end up in the same position as me, I feel that is very wrong, and probably breaches trading laws.0 -
If I do end up in court I have ample evidence including the two samples they sent me, these are obviously transportable, the article in the Sydney paper, the emails they have sent and I’ll get proper professional photos done.0

I think perhaps we can just wish you luck with progressing this, & hopefully further down the line an update would be interesting.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0

Having engaged with the customer proactively and offered a number of solutions to her, none of which have been pointed out in this post, we feel there is a level of unfairness and a need to reply.
All our products are produced making use of recycled material. Due to the manufacturing process and the robust quality control assurances – it’s very rare that our worktops and products disappoint. As you will be able to see from the several hundreds of reviews we have received over the years. However, on the rare occasion things do go wrong, we have a robust customer services ethos. Since these issues were raised and note this was only in respect to one colour from our vast range further tests and changes have been made to our manufacturing process reducing the risk of changes to the material. Furthermore, all sales staff have received additional training and will advise against installation in areas with excess sunlight.
We have engaged with the customer prior, during and post installation and not only offered but have provided solutions to resolve the issues she had.0 -

Are you a representative of Granite Transformations?
For all anyone here knows, you could just as easily be a bored 15 year old with no homework to do and who is just trying to stir up trouble.
This is precisely why people who want to post on behalf of a company require prior approval to do so.1 -
The worktop is not fit for purpose.
You need to pick a different definition from the Consumer Rights Act ... it's a worktop, it sits on top of the units, you can use it as a worktop - ergo it is fit for purpose. Whether it's of reasonable quality taking into account the price paid is another matter.0
