It seriously does! Good job I like Stilton 😂0

I’ve already said I need better photos, as I do agree the lighting looks different due to the two areas being in different areas of the kitchen. In one the daylight hits, the other it does not.
As soon as I can post photos I’ll put more on here, that will Show it better.0 -
Have a google at the Sydney Morning Herald dated 5th November 2018 the title of the article
“I will lose everything: Granite Transformations franchisees struggle “
Ok it’s mostly about how head office treats it’s franchisees, but further down it states about quality issues with the range I’ve got.0 -
To whom are you attempting to be fair?
Presumably not the OP, as you seem to be implying that he has taken photographs of an unchanged worktop, and by some happy (for him) accident, happened to find the lighting was such as to allow him to make a false case against the company concerned.
That doesn't seem very fair to me.
Reading what the OP subsequently says about diffeent areas and lighting- I think it is very fair.
The OP will definitely need better and more comparative photos to help their case.
For us, we can only go on the info and images provided and although the two images DO look very different, as suggested, this is probably or possibly due to the lighting.0 -

The big problem with your stance is that it assumes that there may have been no colour change.
You are saying that the OP may be a liar who happened to take two photographs that showed his work-surface appeared to have changed colour, and thought he'd have a bit of a laugh.
Still not seeing the fairness.
Obviously if he is going to bring a case he will need better photographs. Advice on that has already been issued.
Every single warning post on this forum might be a lie. Only a few people seem to want to accuser posters, though.-1 -
I think I am being very fair - especially for the person with the problem
Instead of just agreeing and sympathising,I have given some constructive help.
IF this ends in court, the defence would probably use the same observations as I have.
Hence my suggestion to cover up an adjacent area for a period and use that as a side by side comparison image(s)
In photography it is stupidly easy to alter the apparent colour oft objects with positions and lighting as is the case here.
I wasnt for a second suggesting that the images had been deliberately set-up or staged, but if I raise the point then I guarantee the company will.
As it is, THOSE images prove nothing. Hopefully further images will be more definitive and less subject to critique.
Happy that I have been fair now?0 -
Maybe the OP can comment if he thinks I have been fair rather than you jumping to conclusions and accusing me of accusing him of lying0

Sorry, are you some sort of board overseer?
If you want to ignore the 'be nice to newbies' rule* and suggest that an OP might have been lying - and make no mistake, that's exactly what you were suggesting, you have to take criticism from wherever it comes from.
You can't expect to dictate that you'll only accept it from an OP, who may not feel confident to argue with more experienced members.
* Which was flagged when you made your initial post.-1 -

I accept that you actually posted with the intention of being helpful.-1 -
You are the one coming across as the “board overseer”.
Taking offence on someone else’s behalf. I dont care what you accept or not- I was NOT suggesting he was lying.
Imagine the scenario in court:
Judge - would you like to show your evidence please
Plaintiff (OP) - yes, here are the photos to took
Defendant - those aren’t the same piece of work surface and the lighting looks very different
Judge - I agree. Do you have any further evidence
Plaintiff - I don’t
Judge - case dismissed
I’m out. It’s like talking to a box of bricks sometimes.
Just telling it how it is rather than what I think he wants to hear.1
