no debt collector should be contacted at all, under no circumstances whatsoever , NO , capiche ?0 -
Hi All
Update
Rang the shop i visited, manager not willing to help charge be cancelled.
Message to my MP no reply.
Contacted parking charge people re Appeal - it doesn't count as passed the appeal date the debt has now been passed on to debt recovery out of their hands .....
i HAVEN'T contacted debt company as above per advise given , i am now worried sick -i owe £170.00 and this is now going further which means the debt will only go higher , very worried. DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT ??????0 -
There is nothing more to be done now.
Post again on this thread if ever you receive either a Letter of Claim or official court correspondence and if, after having re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread, you still need help.
Oh, and by the way, you do not owe £170. You owe nothing until a Judge says otherwise.0 -
Hi Keith
Is the letter from debt recovery not a letter of claim ?0 -
Read again post #4 of the NEWBIES thread.Billy_No_Mates wrote: »Hi Keith

It offers good guidance on how to deal with debt collectors letters.
And while you are at it, read again post #14 on this thread - written by Redx on your very own thread just two days ago.0 -
Because you posted in the newbies thread which should not have happened , As well as another person , I took the trouble to find your thread and gave you specific and unequivocal instructions about ignoring debt collectors and their letters
You seem to be ignoring that advice and I am extremely disappointed by that
If you ask for advice , read it and follow it
Nobody on here is interested in debt collector posts , from you or anyone else , because it distracts us from helping people who need immediate help or advice
When you need help and advice , it will be given , but not at this interim stage
Pay up , in full , OR , wait for a court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton then and only then , post back on this thread
Hint , it won't come from any debt collector
Ps , if the initial alleged debt was £100 , it stays at £100 , it never goes any higher than £1000 -
When did you send that? What do you mean by 'message'? Fully detailed, well written letter via Royal Mail, or email, or SMS 'OK, m8, gotta prob' stylee?Message to my MP no reply. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

.Thankyou you all for your advice , I have read the threads and have taken noticed, they are very hard going to read and am sure i am not the first to say that ..... i posted by accident on the first thread as i didn't know how the page worked so apologies for my ignorance. Somewhat disappointed with the above comments , i don't wish to waste anybodies time so i won't post anymore.0
