  • HI
YEs my NPB's are rising as are the ones I have to start the process with. I have a lot more cheques and echeques than usual. Also I think that my sales peaked in beg, nov as they have gone v.slow. I do remember it being like this last year, too.

had my pro evo 8 xbox game finish last night, last minute bidder won it within seconds to go to the end of the auction. only 5 feedback and been registered since 2002!!. mails me saying that he sees a mutual withdrawal on my feedback and worried can he have my mobile number. went back and said out of the 500 feedback you spot one mutual withdrawal and i'm not really in to giving my mobile number out, but if he wants to give me his first i will do the same, no payment and then mails me saying he has a overseas bank account and having problems with paypal payment and chq will take too long to clear so feel free to list it.... thanks a lot, i dont get much luck with second chance offers so i will probably just relist it.

good price aswell i doubt i'll get anywhere near it next time it finishes.

im curious what a buyer thinks they get from having your mobile number?
  • I don't understand why buyers do that, I'm a semi-regular buyer on ebay & have almost always paid within minutes of the auction finishing, the only time I didn't was when paypal threw a wobbly & refused to let me do anything for 24hrs.

I explained the problem to the seller straight away & everything was ok once I got full use of paypal back. There really is no excuse for hanging on or not paying for days or weeks.

Yeah I don't get the non paying thing. I once asked a buyer if it was okay if I bid on something which finished when I was on holiday and told her when I'd be back & I'd pay her as soon as. She was fine with that, but even so - I swear the first thing I did was log on and pay. I can't bear to owe money.
  • And what about all the fees we lose??

I did the claim against an Xbox some idiot failed to pay for then sent an email 8 days later saying they were 'under a lot of stress lately'. They now have unpaid item strike against them but I am billed about £14 in charges having to relist the console.

I've since found some great advice :D at:

    http://paypalterm.batcave.net/
    and
    http://www.paypalsucks.com

But I can't see how to protect against thing kind of non-payment rubbish.

Anyone with any suggestions on if I can claim the full listing costs?

  • I sometims buy and sell on ebay normally pay within 4-5 days but always within 7. and expect the seller to ship within 7 days of my payment .... I thought this was ebays rules / gulidelines not imediate payment (apart when the it is a buy it now with imediate payment in the terms)

Why all this expecting things instantly when i sell i send everything within 7 days of reciept of payment (I don't wait for the cheque to clear as ebay tell me I have to ship in 7 days of payment)

why would anyone send threatening emails after 5-6 days  when the buyer is within ebays terms ????? Some seller have done this to me and although i always lesave everyone 5 stars as long as I get the goods in ok condition but I never buy from these sellers again as they have been neggin and threatening.

I have 3 non paying bidders today. Just had a message from one of them to say she will post a postal order tomorrow. Then she will wonder why her item took so long to get thro the xmas post:rotfl:
  • Not just NPB's people just complain and whinge about everything- having said that I am going to rant!!
Yesterday I had to refund because something was damaged in the post. She was just plain rude and aggressive - don't people know you get further with a kind word. I have refunded and haven't even got a thanks - mind I NEVER do.When I refund people or replace because they have been lost in the post they don't feedback or say thank you.

I have another chap being funny because his cheque took 4 days to get to me and when I email to say it has arrived he says that is funny I sent it 4 days ago - inference I am lying, why would I?

Just received a neutral as someone bought 4 of an item that I really hadn't thought anyone would buy more than 1 of. I therefore hadn't ammended postage on listing- I missed recalc posting because if you read my other posts we have been in a car crash on the motorway and tbh i am a bit preoccupied. Doesn't contact me about postage - no just leaves nasty fback. Well her unpleasantness means I won't be refunding her and have left her a neg. for lack of communication.

Rant over, I am a bit pi**ed off at the lack of human kindness at the moment as after my crash people where steering around us rather than offering help or to act as witnesses. Even the Shogun driver that we were pushed in to drove off - my guess he had had a few too many beers the night before.

At this season of goodwill we need to encourage people to show some!!
  • Ah, patchwork cat, sorry you are having a rough time at the moment. It's amazing how rude people can be. I sell quite a bit of ex-chainstore overmakes on E-bay and recently have two people question the validity of them. I don't mind that so much, its the rude way some of the e-mails are worded infering that I am out to con them, that bugs me. Its a shame that the people who complain stay at the front of our minds when the dozens of happy ones are forgotten!
