My NW mortgage new year seems to be tied to its start date.
Yes I suspected that would be the case and it is. Mortgage "new year" is March 1st. She's also given me the details for OPing and set it so that all OPs reduce the term and nothing else. With this in mind I am changing my plans slightly:

    * each month I will sweep any income from sales, surveys, TTs etc into the OP account
    * I'll pick a date each month when I will transfer that all back into our joint account and then OP it
    * still will keep track of the balance on the 1st of each year
    * I'm now going to embrace my stretch goal, which was £800, I think? So I'm now aiming for £800 by the end of Feb 2021, ready for starting with a new goal in March 2021

I am going to set up the payee right now and transfer the money in the OP acc RIGHT NOW.

EDITED TO ADD: actually, I've just done a test payment of £10. Will check it lands safely/how long it takes. THEN I will tf all the stuff I have saved

    MFW 2022: 1 Jan £85579.20 ~ OPs on hold.

Usually 2 days for some reason from a NW account.
Unless I'm saving for a £500 immediate reduction in monthly payments or length of mortgage I usually just TT when I can as it immediately reduces your balance and thus interest...
(or it might be I just like rounding down...)
If it's not adding up, compound it!

It's not from a Nw account, it's from FD. However it has landed already! M'off to OP the rest!! How exciting!

Overpayment has landed this morning and been applied to our account. Outstanding balance is now £89,897.27. I appreciate it will change between now and the new year but it starts with an 8, so I'm rather pleased!

Pilates this morning. Looking forward to that as I'm feeling rather in need.

Been obsessively making socks the last few days. I can make about 1 - 1.5 socks in a day, depending on the pattern and how into the swing of it I can get. And whether I like the final result enough not to abandon it part way through (has happened twice). So I currently have 1 finished pair, 1 pair that is 3/4s finished, and 2 individual socks which I'm going to frog (that means undo) and do differently.

Ebay parcel to post this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Top up grocery shop which will likely be done by Himself. I'm sure there's other stuff that I am forgetting....

CC tickover has happened. Later on today I will be updating everything and making sure the money shuffle is all planned out. Fleabay parcel posted this am and top up shop done on the way home from the PO, and another fleabay listing someone put an offer in and I accepted just to get it OUT OF THE HOUSE  that was collected this morning, so I paid the fees, transferred the money and then made a little £5.44 OP and felt VERY gleeful about it!

    OP total £523.34

This afternoon I am attending a 3 hour seminar online about becoming a parent during lockdown - various studies being presented that have looked at the effect the pandemic has had on pregnancy and early parenthood. Should be very interesting. I am hoping I may have an interview with a potential client in the next couple of days too, but we shall see.

2 pairs of socks finished. Am about a third of the way through another sock. Intending to get a fair amount of that does while watching this seminar.

Cashed out £6.17 from Prolific and OP'd it.

    OP total £529.51

Money shuffle all planned out and looks good. Expecting to end the month approx £670 in credit. Planning to leave all of that in our jt account because I am concerned about the job switchover taking longer than anticipated. Himself's regular overtime, which is almost £400pcm extra on top of his basic wage, ended at the end of October. I think Nov will be fine (because overtime is paid in arrears), but I would rather plan for it not to be and then it be fine, than the other way round. Still no job update.

This last month's spending has been good - food came in WELL under budget. Obviously present buying is underway, including Medium Small's birthday present for January which is very organised of me as I usually leave that until the new year and then run out of money and panic  petrol seems to be steady at £95 pcm at the moment.

I have another achievement to announce. Yesterday was the first Sunday since changing my emails that I didn't spontaneously check my work email. Didn't even realise until this morning but I'm rather proud of myself!

    - Another sale on fleabay so OPed the sale proceeds after fees and postage.
    - Two days until payslip day.
    - Now working on my 6th pair of socks (this one and the last 2 are thicker for extra cosy toesies). I have more yarn arriving today, I hope, although whether I use it immediately or just rub it on my face in glee... we'll have to see. Love yarn post!
    - Awkward work situation yesterday that worked out better than it could have. Trying to look on it as a learning opportunity but I cycled through mild adrenaline rush > anxiety > leaving client's house and sitting in my car for ten minutes before I could drive it > irritation > sadness > ringing a friend to word vomit at them > feeling vindicated > more irritation > relief when a solution was found. And I'm going to need to rewrite some paperwork in light of what happened, in an effort to do more to prevent it happening again in the future.
    - Orthodontist with Big Small today.
    - Weather is going to be nice today so I am planning to go outside and attack some of the garden with a pickaxe.

I feel like I'm forgetting something... I'm sure if it's important it will come to me.

Today marks the end of the bill cycle. All fine, but no TT this month in anticipation of next month being potentially hard.

Manwife has not started his new job (proposed start date was yesterday). He sent an email last week saying "what's going on" and has had no reply. It's all a bit anxiety inducing.

This morning I am waiting for a free zoom workshop to start at half past, and Himself is at the vets with the cat, who has had an allergic reaction to something. It's been ages since he's had one. Usually a massive steroid injection sorts him out, but it's an expense we could have done without.

MOT is due on the car - going to ring the garage now before this thing starts and see if/when we can get it in.

Definitely feeling the blahs this week. Very blah.
