Sounds great news on Himself front.
I suspect (if it's like our company), they'll want him to take the holiday. But that does mean he may be able to start a bit earlier (if that's an option).
I feel December is going to be a funny month for everyone this year, hopefully it will come in on budget.

I suspect you're right! Or at the very least they'll have a limit on the number of days he could be paid in lieu, like 5 or something. I'm hoping it mean's he can take his notice as holiday and have some overlap and that will mean December won't be so eek. We'll have to see.

Fleabay challenge final count: 18/31 days. Is it bad that that is actually better than I thought I was going to do

I will try again at some point. I've a bag of stuff for a charity shop (two in fact, but I need to re-sort one) but how likely is it I can drop that off any time soon?? So in the hallway it sits, and causes minor irritation all day.

The holiday thing seems to vary significantly company to company, although I think it is common for people to be asked to take it (depending on what work they have left to do etc).  I was surprised when I was told all mine would be paid on redundancy. Of course that means I have taken no holiday since I was told in July..

Well he's pretty terrible at taking leave, so he has 17 days accrued

Moved another £15 into the OP account today which is cash that's been sitting on the mantle piece from things which sold on fbmp. That then frees that cash up to be spent (she says, eyeing up a cactus on fbmp).

    OP total £516.95

I have some pretty violent hiccups this morning :expressionless:

Really very tired this morning. Didn't sleep well AND I was absolutely certain I heard the chickens making alarm calls in the night so I got up at 2am and put them in the shed until the morning. In the light of day though, I'm not actually sure if I heard them or if I dreamed it. I suppose it doesn't matter much, other than I've had to take painkillers for a tiredness headache, and I foresee a nap happening this afternoon!

Grocery shop needs to happen today. The meal plan is written, as is the shopping list, but I need to have a shower first, and then I think we need to get Big Small to college for 12.45. Done a mini check on the finances, having not looked at them for several days. CB going in tomorrow, and had an ebay sale over the weekend so have paid the fee for that and withdrawn it. Added a huge 95p to the OP account lol. Posted that yesterday, as well as a gift for a friend who was diagnosed with cancer over the summer, and a sale from my Etsy shop too.

CC tickover happens at the end of the week. Have been busy buying stocking presents, and also bought Medium Small's bday present. His bday isn't until the end of January but I always get stuck in a post-holidays financial funk so when I saw something I knew he would like I just bought it there and then and now consider the matter done and dusted!

Finally, one of my plans today is to log into Nw internet banking and send them a secure message about when the mortgage new year is. But that will have to wait for now as I'm going to go jump in the shower and see if I can get the shopping done asap.

My NW mortgage new year seems to be tied to its start date.
