It wasn't the "sexy" onions banned by fb yesterday?
No, although onions were (sort of) on the list. One of only TWO food items that were........!

I did get a lovely series of pictures of "similar items" which were suggested as alternatives to a pack of salad tomatoes that were out of stock, which I shared on my fb (obv). Ten items... see if you can guess what they were.
    Items were:
    - dog dental sticks
    - frozen chicken and veg pies
    - sponge scourers
    - tampons
    - cistern blocks
    - pack of cleaning cloths
    - tena lady
    - frozen diced sweed
    - dog joint support sticks
    - frozen chopped onion
(I was mistaken, 3 food items. But considering these were being suggested as alternatives to a pack of tomatoes, I think that is 7 items too few!)

Shopping showed up in time for me to only be a couple of minutes late to pilates. It was delivered by a lovely driver in her own car and she put it on the patio just like I requested. Pleased. We are now mostly sorted until Wednesday-ish when we will need to shop again. That is, of course, that the children can last that long without bagels (they are going through a bagel obsession right now!). Our neighbour went to the LPS and fetched us a bag of hay, bless her heart.

BIL has been tested yesterday so we are currently waiting for his results and then we will know whether we need to officially isolate or can go down off red alert again

Chickens: we put them together yesterday in the run outside. They were very happy, and we decided to put them in together overnight too. This morning Hattie was bleeding and it turns out she's managed to get her beak stuck in the wire mesh on the front of the hutch in the shed and rip part of the dermis off (YIKES! OUCH!) No idea whether that was because of an argument with Mary, or because she was simply agitating to get outside into the garden. Going to have to keep an eye on her, and will look at covering the inside of the mesh with some butterfly netting I have stashed so that can't happen again. They are separate again tonight.

Finally, I spent a bit of time this morning updating my business finances which I haven't done since the beginning of the financial year, largely because almost nothing has happened since the beginning of the financial year until mid-Sept when suddenly things kinda sprang back into life. I transferred some money (less than £20) for mileage into our joint account and updated my client details spreadsheet too. I've got 2 clients booked in for next year, which is reassuring, although does mean things will be hard going for some time yet.

Unless you're one of our lizard overlords I find that list totally bizarre...
It never occurred to me that there would be non food items!
I can see this becoming an Internet challenge - what's the most bizarre substitution you been offered?

Fingers crossed for BIL and you.
Poor Hattie, glad Chicken Ritz is nearly ready.
Will you be getting more Chickens?

It's not nearly ready at all. But we have started. So, y'know. That's better than not having started. *awkward laugh*

Yes we'll definitely be getting more. My aim is about twelve, I think. But we love having chicks, so the plan is to wait until the spring when Hattie next goes broody, and then buy some fertile eggs for her to brood. This year is actually the first year we haven't had eggs/chicks, and I'm really missing it! Hattie and Mary were from our original batches of chicks raised in an incubator, but the younger chickens were all raised by the older flock members. Pickle even hatched a duck egg once! I've got a list of chicken types that fit our needs (ie, are monochrome and not too big) so we will see what eggs are available in the spring and get some in, and grow the flock back up again over the next few years. And the reason it has to be Hattie and not Mary is because Mary doesn't lay anymore, which means she also doesn't go broody - she lacks the hormonal impetus to do so!

Don't worry, I will pay the appropriate pet taxes when the chicks hatch ;)

Listed 6 pairs of trousers/jeans outgrown by Medium Small today, which covers me from the 8th to the 13th October for my fleabay challenge. Have 6 more items waiting to be photographed, 1 of which needs a seam stitching.

Whilst I was sorting through the bags I have stashed around the house, I also located a couple of l/s tops that used to fit Manwife™ which I can put aside for Medium Small, and a stack of clothing that Big Small outgrew ages ago and was waiting for Small Small to grow into, which she pretty much has now, so that's gone into her drawers.

Forgot to get the mince out of the freezer for tea tonight, so that's currently in a bowl of water to accelerate its defrosting process. Have taken ingredients out of the freezer for tomorrow's tea.

Last night I watched a live stream webinar (properly hate that word - webinar) on a topic that will likely be helpful for my business. It was #2 out of 3 so I am settling down to watch the recording of the first one this morning. The final one is Tuesday evening. I've also got a mini course on website meta tags/data to watch too (wow, interesting lol) which should be useful for improving my SEO on my website.

Having sat down to watch the replay with a cuppa, a prolific survey popped up, which is to do with practicing using memory strategies and how they improve one's memory. 35 minutes and £4, with a second part the same length in two days. Honestly, it was right up my street and is exactly the kind of thing I did during my Bachelor's degree :D it has set me back for this replay though so I'm gonna need another brew now!
