Additional savings have been moved. Tweaked the numbers a bit so I could put a bit more in the OP pot which means it now stand at over £300!! OP pot = £301.06
60.2% of target half way through the year is not too shabby!

CC tickover. Numbers are higher than I'd like, but everything is accounted for, and there will not be any tweaking needed. Food and booze came in under budget which I am glad about. Everything is more or less ready for the money shuffle. I need to change the standing order into the newly renamed office account, but otherwise we're all good. We did get takeaway on our wedding anniversary, so there will be slightly less extra going into savings this month to make sure we keep our account at £300. Not going actually overdrawn in order to have that takeaway was really nice!
Still no update on our TC situation beyond August. According to the note on the system they should finish their calculations "by 7th September". Very helpful
*whispers* I am hoping to put a little bit of money away at the end of this month towards taking a holiday next year!

It's payslip day!! Slightly more on the payslip than I budgeted for means things are looking very smooth this month (she says, touching all the wood). I always set my figures at a lower amount than I know is coming because I'd rather underestimate than overestimate, but even keeping that in mind some months are more underestimated than others! This month is one of those months!
We have new curtains in our living room! Seems like such a small thing, but we had to buy wood and special screws to mount it to the plasterboard ceiling, and find an aluminium rail that we could bend around 2 corners (harder than it sounds), and also sew 2 pairs of curtains together to make one giant pair. It was a whole day jobbie, but it is SO much nicer than how it was before* and we are all enjoying sitting in the living room and staring at the lovely new curtains haha. I have a set of draw poles arriving today which should make drawing them easier (the rail is right up by the ceiling).
Anticipating a TT of about £30 I think? Haven't been on the computer much this month so very few prolific surveys but I did cash out £5.63 the other day so OP account now stands at £306.72, and I'm almost at the threshold to cash out again I think.
Big Small's birthday at the weekend just gone, which was both more exciting (due to us getting her two boxsets of books instead of just the one she was expecting haha), and also less fun (due to her having her fixed braces fitted the day before after the orthodontist brought her appt forward from September) than anticipated. We had originally planned to have a bit of a do, get a cake specially decorated etc, but in the current circumstances we all agreed that we should put that off for her 18th in 2022.
*the window goes all the way up to the coving, and is L shaped. The previous owner decided to mount the old curtain pole to the actual uPVC window frame, because of course he did, and also bodge the pole into an L shape with a hacksaw and a piece of wood, because OF COURSE he did, and the old curtains were hung inside the window recess, and the curtain across the small window didn't pull back at all, both of which made the room really dark.Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

Always great when everything comes together like that!
Curtains sound very professionally done. I guess you'll need to redecorate now you can see the room properly? 😎
Does this mean Big Small will get 3 cakes, one for each year? 😃
