Have to ask the Forum Team why the inconsistency, why move that but leave the other 3 useful functions where they always were? Have they never heard of KISS? Minimise the changes when you move platforms has always been a mantra in IT.

With the user name changes, does this mean that if you try log in without the underscore then it will not work?

Dunno - we probably need someone with an underscore in their UserName to try that out and report back....

It does not work.  I do not exist without the underscore  (which I had no idea I had). .

Just for your information, I did not receive the email referred to at the beginning; also, I had to sign in today although I had not signed out before.

I hope this isn’t stbo, but when you logged in, did you tick the ‘keep me logged in’ box?

The opposite actually happened to me today. Last night I know I had logged out because I saw the Welcome page and the Sign In bar come up, but this morning I found I was still logged in. 
That’s a bit worrying.

By the way, a Forumite, Molly, has started an FAQ thread in the Feedback section, so that as people discover how to do things, they can share the knowledge. 

It’s not for snagging, as there is a thread for that, it’s literally for how to do things that are different from the old forum.

She’s also keeping a handy list of FAQ subjects at the beginning, with links to the relevant post.

I don't like that you can't see a snippet of what the thread is about by hovering over the title or how many pages a thread is. Showing what threads you have previously viewed isn't as good as before but that just my view. 

I know over time I'll get used to it all.

I believe so. Previously I had always stayed signed in.
