Water rate on meter would be more than 58 according to online Calculator.
The thing about a meter is that it puts the cost in your control. You can put hippo water saver bags in the cisterns to cut down on flush volume, or go for the 'if it's yellow, let it mellow' approach. You can put a timer in the shower to keep usage down. That sort of thing. Ours has just gone up from £30 to £32 this year - we are not in the south west though where their unit prices are much higher.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

All a no its 58
And meter estimate on united utilities web site says 70 a month0 -
If the water meter calculation came out at £80 then either
You have a 6 bedroom mansion or
You are paying for the whole row of houses or
You have an enormous leak somewhere on your property or
The calculation is wrong.
Ring the water company and have a word with them.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
I did when a moved in they said 80 and just done my self on their website and says 700

I guess the problem is that you can't go back if it proves more expensive. I just tried that calculator and it said my bill would be £807 on a meter when it is actually £380 so it isn't a great predictor!I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

Hi,
My thoughts on your SOA. (sorry if it repeats what others have said)
Have a look at- MSE Cheap Energy Club to check whether you could save money on your gas and electricity.
- I would definitely consider having a water meter installed
- Mobile phone is very high. You could investigate getting a SIM-only deal
- Your groceries are extremely high. Do you batch cook and freeze?

You must be using more than normal for the calculation to come out so high.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0
