I kondoed a bunch of DS's old toy cars yesterday, that will count as 1 a day for a week or so. they were in an old plastic chest of drawers that I also want to Kondo soon. I didn't ask him, he'd never have known they were still there (they were mixed in with some Hornby stuff).
I also upcycled a very shocking pink lampshade into a dusky purple one by painting it with chalk paint!

I didn't know you could do that with chalk paint! We're kondoing social obligations at the moment, due to the corona virus. Husband is panicking and wanting to protect all of us, and has 'ordered' us to stay home and only go out for obligations (work and school). I'm protesting, because I don't want to go crazy before I have toAnyway, he and dd2 are not going to jiu jitsu class tonight; we were supposed to go to a play tomorrow night, already have tickets and a babysitter booked, so now we are debating what to do. I would still like to go, not mingle, and leave immediately afterwards.

So, we are staying home tomorrow. I managed to cancel the babysitter, saving us €15, just paying the €2 insurance (non-refundable). I have sent the theatre company an email to undo our reservation and hope they'll accept it. I haven't paid yet.

Very disappointing offer from Vintage Ca$h cow £20 so have declined it. Will now probably need to just take the stuff to the new place and sell from there which is not very decluttering but can't bear to settle for so low an offer, which includes a silver-plated flute! So my decluttering drive just wasn't strong enough in this case
OH and I have made a plan for the weekend. Going to take all remaining things off the walls, fill and make good and pack up kitchen appliances like the coffee machineas well as the TV. May be able to find a few more things to send on their way in the process - will update you all!

Feeling very pleased with myself
Shifted two major countertop-cluttering appliances today: a breadmaker and a coffee machine. We weren't really using the breadmaker so no great loss. We are both massive coffee fans and the machine was well-used but picked up a £4.99 stove-top espresso maker from Aldi on Friday and it's just as good, plus I had a milk frother jug thing anyway so nothing lost by moving on the all-singing, all-dancing machine. It was a really nice one, bought by XH as a present, but we really don't have room for it in the new place. So descaled it, cleaned it up, but it up on FB for a bargain price and it sold almost immediately
Then met up with some friends for a dog walk and gave them a lovely tea set in their favourite colour (guess - one Liverpool fan, one Gooner
) I'd been given a while back and never used it, tend to stick with random mugs. It's nice to be able to give things away
Also done even more taking stuff off walls and pollyfilling - might actually be done with this soon!Choose kind8 -
Been out in the garden today kondoing weeds, from our 'lawn'. Can't really call it grass due to the sheer number of weeds. I think I've identified the main culprits as Catsear. I dug out 5 large buckets full and the 'lawn' now looks like a ploughed field in places. Fingers are really sore despite wearing gloves as the plants were very deep rooted and each had multiple strong roots. I've still got loads more to do, need my fingers to stop tingling before I can think about doing more. OH dug out a former veg patch which had been left to grass over, but which we plan to use for onions this year.

DD went through her books last weekend. Ziffit for some of them (just waiting for the postage label), others going to chazzer and dropped off some colouring in and sticker books to the local YMCA for the kids. But nothing else done as we're in a B&B in the new city during the week still. Some good news in that we finally exchanged contracts on the house (it has been quite the saga given there's no chain either end, just me in the middle getting stressed!) But everything's complicated by uncertainty about schools and removals. I'm working from home so need good internet whether we move now or next month. Trying to bring completion forward but no luck so far.Choose kind7

Hazelnutty, are you preparing an online, public review of the sollicitor's office yet? Stick to facts, but make it really clear that they took their sweet time for no reason whatsoever.I'm currently working from home, as is husband, and dds' school has closed, so they are home as well. It's actually nice, not having to prep lunch boxes and having no set deadlines. We have made a schedule to get all of us through the day and actually accomplish something. Not much kondoing at the moment, although husband's focus suddenly turned to our pantry. That's fine, we will start meal planning; let's see if I can finally get the family into this habit. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.596

6 small hotel shampoo bottles (from the large womble at work about 3 years ago) decanted into one large bottle for easier use. They are all the same brand/smell, otherwise I wouldn't put them in 1 container together. The shampoos from that womble are getting a bit gloopy, so it's time they are finished.A proper bottle of shampoo from that same womble, that I don't like the smell and feel of, is now being used as handwash. I have decanted and diluted it into the handwash soap dispensers that I have. Great way to get the whole family to cooperate in getting rid of stuff responsibly. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.597
