Details here and you must have a current account with them to get it: http://www.lloydstsb.com/savings/monthly_saver.asp
    • Get a great interest rate of 5.00% AER/Gross fixed for a year.
    • The interest is paid on maturity. View interest rates.
    • You can be flexible – save any amount from £25 to £250 each month by standing order (if you save £250 a month for a year you’ll receive £65 interest (net)).
    • Get instant access to your money with no penalties.
    • Make as many withdrawals as you like to your Lloyds TSB current account, although you can only pay in once a month by standing order and cannot replace what you’ve withdrawn.
    • The convenience of seeing your balance online and changing your standing order any time you like if you have Internet Banking.
    • Carry on saving – at the end of the term your account will convert to an Easy Saver Account.

By the way I think you meant to say open "by phone or in branch" because you don't seem to be able to open it online.

Many thanks again for keeping this thread up to date!

Thanks jimbow25 - that was a bit of a Freudian slip. I logged in to my account online to see if I could open it online and it is not possible to do that - as you say, it has be in branch or on the telephone.

Thanks lucky77 for the info, I have removed the West Bromwich account from the list now.

Loughborough BS are apparently launching a regular saver at 4% on 1st June. It's not on their website yet but details are as follows:
    - variable rate
    - open to existing members and locals
    - one penalty free withdrawal per annum
    - 11 out of 12 payments need to be made
    - failure to meet above two conditions will result in 1% loss of interest (i.e. more than 1 w/d or less than 11 payments).

Do you know what is the maximum amount that can be deposited each month?

    Thanks
