I'm intrigued! What prompted you to check your account to observe that?
I have their online access account so when I make a transaction on that I check the balance on the regular savers. What is the charitable donation all about, is it something we signed up for?0 -

Very odd considering there are several working days between now and the 31st.
Same here - five lines for the 31/08 consisting of:
TAX PAID
GROSS INTEREST with an amount
PROJ INT CREDIT
TAX PAID
BONUS INT CREDIT with an amount
I wonder if they've projected interest - still weird though.0 -

Same here. Same entries as veryintrigued.0 -
I closed my Leeds issue 4 (can't be bothered with low paying regular savers, would rather spend the money and live a little bit more than I have been) on Tuesday and I had an amount of Interest paid, bonus interest paid and a 13p interest deduction (not the charity one). The person in the branch said that they calculate the interest a few days early (the projected interest) and correct it if you close early.0

I thought I would be closing my Leeds 4, I don't like the RSs that offer a low rate with a bonus at 12 months. But thinking about it I have decided to keep it going, it means I've got £3000 earning 2.3% overall for another 12 months.0 -

But you'll continue to add £250pm up to £6K...right ?0 -

Same here I also do not like such product, as you will need to keep your eye on for such a tiny gain.
I am not quite sure but if you close it before August 31, you might loose your conditional bonus of 1.8% as they will only pay the Bonus in the commencing August 31. I did not see anywhere is stating they will pay your bonus if you close before the bonus period. So better to let them spell it out for you by calling them before you close it. But I remember someone here was saying they still pay the bonus even if you close it earlier.
If this the case and you need the money, it is better to make one large withdrawal leaving it just minimum operating balance of £50 and then reducing to minimum monthly payment of £50.0 -

I am never overanxious to empty regular savers, I prefer to wait a day or so after either the anniversary of the first deposit or the stated maturity date. Most transfer funds to a savings account, though not in the case of the Leeds of course.0
